We extend a hearty welcome in the name of Jesus whether you have been with us for years, or if this is your first time visiting. The Holy Spirit led me to

Today’s Focus: God’s Secret Power! It’s in the Word that we hear the call of God that has in it the secret power of God. God’s secret power gives what God commands. He commands: Believe! and His Word creates faith. He commands, Follow me! and His Word creates both the desire and the ability to follow Him.

be with others to hear the Word

of God today.

Welcoming Song: Down by the Jordan, a prophet named John was baptizing, preaching a message the people found bold and surprising. "God hates all sin! “Turn! Turn back quickly to Him! “Surely God's new Day is rising!" Down by the Jordan, the crowd came with great expectation: "Are you God's Chosen One, sent here to rescue the nation?" "No!" John replied. "He who is holy draws nigh: “God's only Son gives salvation." Down by the Jordan went Jesus along with the others; He took His place among sinners, God’s lost sons and daughters. Spirit descends! Rests and remains on the Son! Everyone hear Father’s blessing! Now in Your Church, we are baptized and given Your Spirit! Freed and forgiven and welcomed with joy! Can You hear it? “’This is God's work!’ He says, ‘You're Mine!’ with His Word!’” Loved and baptized --- we adore Him!

few visions. 2 Eli’s eyes were getting so weak that he was almost blind. One night he went to his room to go to bed. 3 The special lamp in the Lord’ s temple was still burning, so Samuel lay down in the temple near where the Holy Box was. 4 The Lord called Samuel, and Samuel answered, “Here I am.”5 Samuel thought Eli was calling him, so he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.” But Eli said, “I didn’t call you. Go back to bed.” So Samuel went back to bed. 6 Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” Again Samuel ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.” Eli said, “I didn’t call you. Go back to bed.” 7 Samuel did not yet know the Lord because the Lord had not spoken directly to him before. 8 The Lord called Samuel the third time. Again Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.” Finally, Eli understood that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 Eli told Samuel, “Go to bed. If He calls you again, say, ‘Speak, Lord. I am Your servant, and I am listening.’” So Samuel went back to bed. 10 The Lo rd came and stood there. He called as He did before, saying, “Samuel, Samuel!” Samuel said, “Speak. I am your servant, and I am listening. ” we sing

John 1:43-51 The next day, Jesus wanted to leave for Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote —Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46 Nathanael said to him, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” “Come and see!” Philip told him.

God said to Me, “You are My Servant in whom I will display My splendor.” Isaiah 49 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said about him, “Truly, here is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit. ” 48 Nathanael asked him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered, “Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you. ” 49 Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus replied, “You believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that! ” 51 Then He added, “Amen, Amen, I tell you: You will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man. ” we sing

Confession of Faith

Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church —the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

P r a ye r s & t h e L o r d ’ s P r a ye r Benediction and Parting Song

I am singing all the day as I walk along my way; For the blood of Jesus saves me, and the Evil One can't have me; So I sing! Although sometimes I feel alone I never really am For He promised to be with me so I’m singing as I’m walking Home with Him! I am singing all the day: Jesus washed my guilt away; Oh! the joy my soul is feeling as my Savior Is revealing: God Is love! My tears are flowing, I’m ashamed; I fear to even be. But He softly whispers to my heart He's still In love with me; Jesus loves me! I am singing all the day as I lift my heart to pray To the Savior! He will hear Me; He has promised to be near me He's with me! I'm singing when I'm all alone. I'll sing with all my friends. For the joy of Jesus Christ my Lord is mercy without end! So I will sing!
