ADVERT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS ON THE MASTER OF INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (MIDT) PROGRAMME TENABLE AT MAKERERE UNIVERSITY Makerere University in partnership with University of Agder (UiA) received a grant from NORAD, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation under its NORHED programme to implement the Project; ‘Leapfrogging 1st Generation Distance Education into 4th and 5th Generation Distance Education: A Strategy for Enhancing ICT Pedagogical Integration and Increasing Access to Education in Africa’; Short Title: Distance Education Leapfrogging Project (DELP). Part of the resources were allotted for 16 Scholarships (10 for Ugandans and 6 for South Sudanese) on the two and half year (5 semesters) Master of Instructional Design & Technology (MIDT) online learning programme tenable at Makerere University. Requirements 1. The applicant MUST be already admitted on the Master of Instructional Design & Technology (MIDT) programme. 2. The Applicant MUST have paid at least full functional fees for Year 1. WOMEN are especially encouraged to apply. Scholarships Conditions 1. The scholarship covers only full tuition fees for the entire programme duration of two and a half years (5 semesters). 2. Scholarship beneficiaries will have to meet the cost of full functional fees for each of the two and a half years. 3. A beneficiary will forfeit the scholarship, if she/he temporarily withdraws from the programme without just cause or is discontinued from the programme. Applications should be hand delivered to the College of Education and External Studies Makerere University, School of Distance & Lifelong Learning, Room No 18, in sealed envelopes clearly marked MIDT SCHOLARSHIP. Applications submitted by email should be submitted to [email protected] and copied to [email protected]. Other Documentation Required In addition to the application letter, the following documentation should also be submitted as attachments:

Admission letter Up to date Curriculum Vitae Proof of payment of functional fees Certificates and/or grades for all post-secondary education, up to and including the bachelor's level; A motivation letter for choosing to take up the Master of Instructional Design & Technology (MIDT) programme. This should not be no more than 2 pages (font size 12pt, margin 1 inch, 1.15 line spacing). Applicants are responsible for submission of all the required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Deadline: Friday 20th April 2018.
