At Home Childcarers Various rates of pay Various hours The Family Information Service has been running the At Home Childcare Service across Brighton & Hove for over 5 years. ‘You have enabled many childcare professionals to provide a top rate service’ At Home Childcarer We support childcarers to work in family homes by registering them with Ofsted and offering ongoing support, training and information. Childcarers can then work with families they find themselves or families who FIS refer to them. Childcarers can advertise themselves for free on the FIS online directory (www.familyinfobrighton.org.uk ) and FIS can also offer them work at crèches and with social worker requests for ad-hoc and urgent childcare. ‘Families get in touch with me with ease, they text me, use emails, they phone me’ At Home Childcarer Applicants need to:  Be resident in Brighton & Hove  Have a childcare qualification or pay to study the online alternative  Have a paediatric first aid certificate or again, pay for a 3 year renewal course  We provide Ofsted registration, DBS police check and insurance for the first year  We provide Safeguarding tr1aining and Lone Working/Risk Assessment advice The application process takes a minimum of 3 months to complete.
