2012 Adopt-A-Family Program What is Bringing Hope Home, Inc? Bringing Hope Home, formerly known as Great Guys Group, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to giving hope to local families battling cancer in the Greater Philadelphia Area through emotional and financial support. Bringing Hope Home directly pays household bills and provides additional resources for families while they are going through treatment. All funds are raised in the local community and stay in the community.
Bringing Hope Home launched the Adopt-A-Family Program last year to help local families battling cancer around the holidays. The response from the community was incredibly inspiring: $42,000 was raised and 45 local families were adopted through the Adopt-A-Family (AAF) Program alone! We could not have done it without the support of local companies, employees, teams, families and friends that all came together to give hope to families in need. This year – we are going to create even more greatness through the Hope For 100 Challenge. Between September 1 and December 31, 2012 the challenge is on to raise $150,000.00 & financially help
100 local families battling cancer by directly paying their household bills. In order to reach our goal, we need your help!

Ways You Can Adopt-A-Family
The Adopt-A-Family (AAF) Program allows the community to truly connect to Bringing Hope Home’s mission on the deepest level, and directly give to a local family (or families) who are struggling due to a cancer diagnosis. Through this program, you will be paired with an actual family who has been nominated to the Light of Hope Family Grant Program and needs financial assistance as they battle cancer.
With employees at your company or department (double the greatness & see if your company will match it!) With your school and get your classmates and teachers involved! With own family and give back together! With your friends, teammates, girl or boy scout troop!
The AAF Program will allow you to fundraise to pay essential bills that will help keep your adopted family:
Fundraising Ideas for Adopt-A-Family: in their home, with the lights on, and food on the table during their tough time. You will receive the personal story of the family that you have been paired with, so you know exactly who your funds are helping! In addition, your adopted family will be notified that their bills were paid thanks to you (your company, family, friends, etc.) and will be given your contact info so they can reach out and thank you directly. This is a great way to be directly involved in civic engagement in the community. You will also be listed on BHH’s website under those that have adopted a family in 2012.
Hold a dress down day at your school or office. Organize a happy hour with your friends after work. Bring your own coffee and lunch to work and donate the money you saved to your Great Family instead. Create a personal fundraising page & collect donation!
