2015 Exhibition Calendar Nick Mitzevich, Director Art Gallery of South Australia I am delighted to announce our 2015 exhibitions program – an exciting and diverse schedule of 16 exhibitions consisting of works around the globe – America, Europe, Japan, Iran, India, Indonesia and of course, Australia. This year we will also be presenting – along with other major South Australian cultural institutions - the inaugural Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia. Our major exhibitions for 2015 include pioneering video works from US video artist Bill Viola, which will be part of the Adelaide Festival, compelling and very personal works from Trent Parke which represents the culmination of seven years of work for this internationally renowned Adelaide photographer, and a comprehensive survey exhibition of esteemed artist Yvonne Koolmatrie, towards the end of next year. This Gallery will also host exhibitions of works drawn from our own collection Australian Landscapes with works from artists such as Fred Williams, William Robinson, John Olsen and George Tjungurrayi, Crossing Times, highlighting works from our extensive Indigenous collection and a unique exhibition Australian artists in North Africa ,which will include works by Arthur Streeton and Charles Condor. I am also pleased to announce that we will continue to build on our very successful exhibitions, education and public programs which attracts more than 700,000 people each year an increase of 27% in recent years.
