The 2015 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Greater Huntsville Section Robert L. Sackheim Engineering, Science, & Math Scholarship
The AIAA Greater Huntsville Section is proud to announce the offering of its 2015 Robert L. Sackheim Engineering, Science, & Math Scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support for students within the Greater Huntsville Section area that plan to pursue a degree in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics, to bolster the future of the aeronautics and astronautics industries.
Award Details: The 2015 AIAA Greater Huntsville Section Robert L. Sackheim Engineering, Science, and Math Scholarship is one award of $1,000. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior from the Greater Huntsville Section area planning to pursue an engineering, science, or mathematics degree that reasonably could lead to a career in aeronautics or astronautics from an ABET accredited university, also within the Greater Huntsville Section area. Please see below for the complete list of counties within the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section area. Eligible students need to complete the scholarship application and mail it to the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section | Attn: Scholarship Committee | P.O. Box 7208 | Huntsville, AL 35807. Completed applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2015. The Greater Huntsville Section Scholarship Committee will review each application, select a scholarship recipient, and notify the recipient by May 15, 2015. A certificate of award will be presented to the scholarship recipient at the annual AIAA Greater Huntsville Section Dinner and Awards Banquet held on May 29, 2015. The scholarship recipient is invited to the Dinner and Awards Banquet as a guest of the Section. After the Dinner and Awards Banquet, the scholarship will be dispersed directly to the recipient’s university for the start of the fall semester.
