2016 ANNUAL REPORT & HONOR ROLL OF DONORS Providing Tools for the Journey

PAVING THE WAY FOR BROTHERHOOD Pi Kappa Alpha understands the various stages of the journey to becoming an effective leader. The Fraternity stands to assist and empower those who want to excel. We want to always be prepared to respond to the needs of our members, whether it be financial, need for mentorship, or education assistance. We want them to have the tools they need to lead their chapter and to make a difference within the Fraternity, on campus, and in their communities. We also want them to be like you: eager to support brothers in need.

Thank you for making this journey possible. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside your brothers.

“You’ve invested in the best stock on the market – young, inspiring leaders who wish to make themselves and those around them better. Thank you for funding this journey for our men.” – Mark A. Robertson (Southern Methodist, Beta Zeta ’82) PIKE Foundation President

Scholarships With over $1.3 million awarded in scholarships and grants in 2016, you helped forge new paths for our brothers. In addition to lightening financial burdens, the PIKE Foundation is providing opportunities to student members to which they may not otherwise have had access. With the cost of higher education burdening many of our students, we aim to keep the PIKE experience affordable and attainable. Thus, the PIKE Foundation has worked with donors like you to establish need and merit based scholarships; provide grants to PIKE University and chapters for formal leadership training; and work closely with chapter house corporations to ensure that they are providing safe, competitive housing for members.

PIKE University PIKE University, established in 2003, is a cornerstone of accomplishment for our Fraternity. It was designed by leadership experts, administered by professional staff, and has been partially funded and supported by our very own alumni investors. By hosting nine conferences per academic year, PIKE University provides innovative teachings to new members, aspiring and existing chapter leadership, graduating seniors, and alumnus advisors. In addition to raising funds to send students to conferences annually, the Foundation maintains a growing $1M endowment fund, which is restricted to supporting the continued advancement of PIKE University offerings.
