There will be a variety of food trucks and craft vendors throughout the festival grounds. From shellfish to falafels, and hula hoops to handmade dresses – we’ll have all your tastes covered.

For all you thirsty folk, over 21 ID wristbands and tokens will be available during the morning hours so you can get them before the gates open, and before the gardens open, and be ready for the starting bell. Please drink responsibly.

COMING WITH KIDS? Make sure to use the Family Gate if you’ve purchased Children’s Tickets (they can only be scanned at the Family Gate). Inside, The Late July Family Tent will feature many surprise performances by artists from the 2016 lineup.

INTIMATE SESSIONS We are bringing some excellent music to the Museum Stage this year. Stop by. Martin Guitar’s Open Mic – each day in the Museum starts with our open mic programming. Get there ealry, sign up and share your songs. For Pete’s Sake – Hosted by Chris Funk of the Decemberists, For Pete’s Sake provides a platform for musicians who carry the spirit of Pete Seeger and the early Folk Festival – a dedication to the traditions of bluegrass, gospel, world and roots music, to which Pete and Toshi Seeger dedicated their lives. Converse Rubber Tracks – Converse is back again this year offering three aspiring artists the opportunity to record for free at the state-of-the-art Converse Rubber Tracks recording studio in Boston, as well as afternoon Museum sets at Newport Folk. Motel Song Swap– Each day will end with a song circle featuring special guests sharing the stage and swapping songs.

Beer/Wine Garden Rules & Regs: Must be 21 to enter gardens. IDs will be checked at all token sales locations and over 21 wristbands will be issued (wristbands are good all weekend). Reusable pints: New this year we will be offering one free drink token with the purchase of a branded reusable stainless steel pint. Purchase your pint at the first token booth while supplies last. Drink tokens: Drink tokens can be redeemed for beer, wine or hard cider, and will be sold for $7 at all ID checkpoints as well as inside the gardens. Tokens good all weekend but they are NON-REFUNDABLE. Cash and credit cards are also accepted in the gardens but only in specified lines.
