TIMELINE

The 10-week program includes project orientations and a mandatory PPC training from June 1st to June 9th. Interns will then be dedicated to project positions for the remaining eight weeks, and Interns will present to staff and Boards.

ABOUT

The Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) and its two operating arms, the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative (PRHI) and Health Careers Futures (HCF), work to move our region and nation to perfect patient care through research, education and training, grantmaking, and project execution. We are recruiting graduate students interested in innovations in healthcare delivery, policy, and patient safety for paid summer internship opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY

Current graduate students including but not limited to: Policy & Law Public Health Medicine Social Work Nursing

Rehabilitation Computer Science Business Education Biostatistics

Exceptions are made on occasion for undergraduate students.

2015 JHF Summer Interns with JHF President and CEO, Karen Wolk Feinstein

As an intern, you will: • gain exposure to JHF, PRHI, and HCF, • learn PRHI’s Perfecting Patient Care (PPC) quality improvement methodology for health professionals, • report to a mentor and work with a project team, • contribute to team projects (preliminary list below), and • present your experience and contributions to staff and Boards.
