2017-18 Student Parking Permits Parking permits are required for any and all vehicles parked on campus. Students who meet all parking permit requirements are permitted to park in the SENIOR LOT ONLY. Parking permits will be issued on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., in the Senior Café. Students who are unable to attend on this day may purchase a parking permit in the Senior Office, AFTER SCHOOL beginning August 31, 2017; although NO STUDENT will be able to park on campus without a permit. Students must be present to receive a permit. NO permits will be issued to friends or family members
Students MUST meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for a Pinkerton Academy parking permit. ● ● ● ● ● ●
16 or more credits Pinkerton Academy Student ID card Valid NH Driver’s License Original, valid and signed vehicle registration (no photocopies allowed) Completed parking permit request form: available on 8/23/17 at the time of registration. Have paid ALL outstanding debt in the form of text books, library books or materials, uniforms and/or class dues, etc. ***ALL ELIGIBLE STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A PERMIT***

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING RULES & REGULATIONS VERY CAREFULLY: Pinkerton Academy Student Parking Do’s… ● FOLLOW ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS REGARDING THE OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE. ● Adhere to the “Hands Free” regulations regarding electronic devices. ● Hang your permit on the rear view mirror and leave permit hanging during the school day. ● Take responsibility for your permit. If your permit is lost or stolen, you must report it as such to the senior office immediately. There will be a waiting period of 30 days before a replacement is issued. ● Follow the direction of all monitors and crossing guards while in the lot and exiting the lot. ● Merge in the lot into a single line of traffic to exit the lot in a safe manner. ● Park your vehicle BETWEEN TWO YELLOW lines in the lot. If there is not a yellow line on either side of your vehicle, you are not in a parking space. Pinkerton Academy Student Parking Don’ts… ● Sell, lend, copy or rent your permit to any other student. It is to be used by YOU and YOU only. YOU MUST BE THE DRIVER of the vehicle registered on the Parking Permit Request Form. If your permit is displayed in any vehicle not listed on your Parking Permit Request Form, EVEN IF YOU ARE IN THE VEHICLE, your permit will be suspended. ● Alter or tamper with your permit or the numbers on it. ● Be tardy 8 or more times … seniors who accumulate eight (8) unexcused tardies per term, will have their parking privileges revoked. ● Drive in any sort of reckless manner (speeding, hanging out of the vehicle, passing in the lot etc…). ● Re-park your car. ● Let passengers into or out of your vehicle after you have left a parking space. Additional Regulations: ● Parking on school property is a privilege and therefore Administration has the right to deny the request for a permit at the time the request in made. ● Students are only permitted to have two vehicles registered at a time. ● At dismissal time, students are permitted to exit the lot from the north end only. ● U-Turns into the Fine Arts Building /Field House, or other PA parking lots is PROHIBITED. ● Parking lot speed limit is 5 mph. ● ALL vehicles are subject to search once they are on Pinkerton Academy property. ● Students are NOT PERMITTED to enter the parking lot and/or go to their vehicles at any time during the school day. ● If you do not have your permit with you, you are not permitted to park on campus. ● If your driver’s license is suspended or revoked for any reason, your permit will be as well. You will receive your permit back when the senior office visually sees a valid license. I fully understand and agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by Pinkerton Academy which allows me the privilege of parking on school property. I understand that parking on school property is a privilege and that if I do not adhere to these regulations that I will lose the privilege without a refund. I further understand that I park on school property at my own risk and assume the responsibility of all objects located in my vehicle. Signing the request form will serve as my warning with regards to any lot violation and any violation will result in a minimum of a 2 day loss of my permit and the ability to park on Pinkerton Academy property. When in the event a vehicle search turns up weapons, alcohol, drugs and/or other contraband prohibited on or near school grounds (including tobacco/vaping products), in addition to a suspension, the student’s parking permit will be revoked for the remainder of the school year without a refund.
