It’s hard to underestimate the difference good support can make to someone’s life. We want to recognise a worker who has gone above and beyond to help a person with learning disabilities to make the best of every day, and to reach their full potential. The tireless support of family carers is often transformative and empowering for the person who is supported, but is rarely recognised formally. This award is for a family carer who deserves to be celebrated for their dedication and commitment to caring for a loved one who has learning disabilities.

Creativity is the essential driving force that leads to progress and change in society. This award will be given to a person with learning disabilities whose fresh perspective and exceptional artistic talent deserves to be celebrated.

This award, sponsored by RSA Scotland, recognises the social impact of an individual with learning disabilities in enterprise, civic engagement, education, or a creative endeavour. The winner of this award will be granted a RSA Fellowship, enabling them to pursue their ideas and create an impact.
