Anti-Bullying Art Contest Each student is challenged to develop a visual image or photo that best represents this year’s theme:

HOW TO ENTER 2016-17 CONTEST

2-D Art: All students in 3rd - 12th grade can create a 2-D work of art based on this year’s anti-bullying theme. Any combination of paint, pencil, ink, crayon, marker, collage, etc. is acceptable. 3-D works cannot be accepted. Photo: Students in 9th grade - 12th grade may also choose to enter photography. Photography can be either black and white or color. Photos created using digital manipulation are acceptable. Sizes and Formats: • All 2-D art works no smaller than 8 1⁄2”x 11” and no larger than 11”x 14”. Photos will be printed no smaller than 8”x 10” and no larger than 11”x 14”. Rules: 1. Students currently attending any school within the Peoria Unified School District are eligible to participate. 2. Artwork must be created within the sizes and formats mentioned above. 3. Student artwork must be original and have been completed by the student and in no way use images that may infringe on other copyrighted materials.

4. The use of photos that portray real bullying taking place are prohibited. 5. Please include the student’s name, grade and school need to be on the back of the artwork. 6. Winners will be invited to attend the Peoria Arts & Cultural .....Festival on Saturday, April 1 where they will be publicly recognized. Selection: Contest officials will judge artwork from each of the following student entry levels: 3rd grade - 5th grade, 6th grade - 8th grade, 9th grade - 12th grade Dates: • March 3 – Artwork due to art teacher or assistant principal. • March 10 – All artwork from schools is due to the Public ...Relations Department. • March 20 - 24 – Artwork will be judged by contest officials. • March 27-28 – Winners will be notified. • April 1 – Winners will be announced at the Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival. All forms of artwork or photography remain the property of the contest partners and will not be returned.
