2018 AT A GLANCE The following is a glance at the many projects, programs and services provided by the Ozona Chamber of Commerce: Member Services: -Each month we recognize a Chamber member Business of the Month on our web site, in our newsletter, on our Facebook page and in The Ozona Stockman. This is a continued effort to encourage local residents not to forget to “shop at home”. -In our monthly newsletter, the Chamber Dialogue, member anniversaries and the Business of the Month are recognized. You will learn about Chamber member benefits, business and tech tips, training and upcoming Chamber activities in which you can participate. -2018 Annual Membership Meeting / Banquet: The Chamber hosted 123 attendees at the April 5th, 55th Annual Banquet. Chamber Board of Directors and staff were introduced. Chamber members who sponsored the event as well as Chamber Ambassadors were recognized. Members were updated on Chamber activities and accomplishments, and two local businesses, Mi Familia Restaurant and Kerbow Funeral Home were named the 2017 Businesses of the Year, voted on by the Chamber membership. The Crockett County Soil & Water Conservation presented the Wildlife Conservationist Award to Seven Oakes Ranch, which was received by Wayne Walker. The evening wrapped up with a lively performance of “Smoke on the Mountain” presented by the Way Off Broadway Players. -Active Shooter Survival was the topic of the Commerce’s April 24th Lunch and Learn session, attended by 51 guests. The Chamber partnered with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Law Enforcement Division, and the event was led by Game Wardens Dan Waddell and Chris Amthor. Travelers, Tourism & the Visitor Center: -Through March of this year, the Chamber has greeted 1,284 visitors at the center. That is an average of 428 visitors a month. There were 139 local visitors, 730 from Texas, 354 from across the U.S. and 61 foreign Visitors. -We are here SIX DAYS A WEEK referring these travelers to local businesses, attractions and services. We work to generate revenue for the community. -We have fielded over 264 phone calls answering every imaginable question there is about Ozona! That’s an average of 88 calls per month! -Marketing & Advertising Ozona & Our Community Assets: One of the primary functions of the Chamber of Commerce is to market the assets of our community in order to attract new businesses, services and travelers. As a result of our advertising through March we filled 729 requests for information on Ozona. We also handed out and mailed an additional 1,524 brochures to visitors, Travel Centers across the state, and trade shows in an effort to encourage travelers to stop in our town to make use of local businesses, services and attractions.

Web Site: -The Chamber web site (www.Ozona.com) has received through March 13,338 web site visits, or an average of 4,446 sessions per month. Each month we share this information with the membership in our monthly newsletter which includes a break-down of the total site visits, page views, where those views are coming from, and a list of those members who received 10 or more hits on the site that month. -Through March there have been 1,151 Business Directory searches on our web, and our actual member page hits has reached 2,488 or an average of 829 searches per month. -Members who posted Hot Deals on our site have received 309 Hot Deal hits this year. -Residents & Individuals are able to find, at the Visitors Center, or on our web site, local services, organizations, calendar of events and meeting locations, things to do in Ozona and much more! -Check out our Mobile Site! Twenty six percent of those visiting Ozona.com are doing it from their mobile devices. -Facebook Campaign to Market Ozona At the beginning of 2017 the Chamber had 5,494 fans. Through March of this year we have 6,257 fans/followers! Each time we post on our page, we reach an average of 19,119 people in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and El Paso. The goal is to encourage travelers passing by Ozona to spend their dollars in our community on their way to their destination, or to spend the night with us and take advantage of local and area attractions. This year we have also started a Chamber Business page. On this page members and residents are informed about Chamber business, local events and community activities.
