Online Registration All programs (boys, girls, minis & rentals) can be registered for online.

• Amateur Athletic Waiver & Release of Liability • Code of Conduct • Video & Photo Release • Concussion Awareness/ Information Prior to 1st indoor practice, copy of birth certificate needs to be loaded on site.

Sports Injury Statistics The ranking of most injuries for boys U9U15: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Concussions are no laughing matter.

American Journal of Sports Medicine reported concussions accounted for 20% of lacrosse injuries. • 75% from body-to-body collisions.

Concussion Awareness A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury that changes the way the brain normally works.

Baseline Testing @ Centegra Baseline IMPACT testing conducted at Centegra Huntley • $5 per player • 10 - 11 years of age requires yearly testing • 12+ years of age requires testing every two years • 30-40 minutes for initial assessment • Dates and times will be released in 2018 Prevent Second-Impact Syndrome!

Concussion Protocol If concussion is suspected, player needs to be seen by a healthcare professional who will perform a proper assessment. Written release will be needed by MD, DO or NP prior to playing coming back.

All coaches are trained to look for symptoms during games/ practice.

• Day 1: only light aerobic activity • Day 2: continued light aerobic activity (parent follow-up after practice) • Day 3: heavier aerobic activity, no contact • Day 4: heavier aerobic activity, light contact • Day 5: return to normal play If at any time, symptoms recur, player returns back to Day 1.

Coaching ▪ No lacrosse experience necessary ▪ Identify interest level during online player registration, or come see us today ▪ Coach training nights will be led by Coach Dom and will begin soon! Interested in helping?

Volunteers will also be needed for our Girls’ and Mini’s programs.

Open Roles We need volunteers for Field Coordinator, Team Managers & Team Field Coordinators

No lacrosse experience necessary!

▪ Team Managers manage team communications ▪ Team Field Coordinators setup home field (1st game of day), run scoreboard for their team’s game & break down home field after game (last game of day)

Volunteers will also be needed for Girls’ program.

New! Stick Drive To keep the Mini Program costs low, we are collecting lacrosse sticks that Mini players can use during 7 week program. • Sticks will be owned by the club • Sticks will be collected during indoor Was your old stick upgraded for a new one? Is it collecting dust?

Year Round Play

The MAC Lacrosse Program Year round development & tournament program offered to boys 3rd-12th grade & girls 4th-8th grade.

The MAC is one of several options in the area.
