JULY 2018 Joyce: ​Ashley Bouder Project

The Ashley Bouder Project (ABP), dedicated to promoting women and diversity within the performing arts world, will premiere new works for The Joyce’s Ballet Festival. The program will include the premieres of a solo work performed by Ashley Bouder, created by Lauren Lovette, principal dancer with the NYCB; and a piece by Abdul Latif, current resident at the Broadway Dance Lab. Rounding out the program is the remounting of Ms. Bouder’s ​In Pursuit of…​ which premiered in 2017 at Peter Norton’s Symphony Space. As part of ABP’s mission to work with women, the program will feature music by female composers, including a piece by New York Jazzharmonic’s (NYJ) co-director Miho Hazama, performed live by the NYJ, headed by Ron Wasserman.
