Invite you to a public guest lecture organized as part of a Master’s Degree Course entitled “Space Security in the 21st Century” on the topic of:

SPACE SECURITY PhDr. Michael Romancov, Ph.D., April 16, 2018, 18:00 Geopolitics of Space Dr. Romancov teaches political geography at the Charles University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and the Metropolitan University. He is a wellknown commentator and contributor to Czech media outlets concerning political geography, geopolitics and Russia. He often appears on Czech TV and radio. His academic titles were acquired at the Charles University’s Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Sciences. The lecture will provide an overview of the theoretical and practical discussions concerning space power projection of the major spacefaring nations. The analysis of the current space geopolitics will be guided by the Astropolitik, a well-establish space power theory of Everett C. Dolman. It will concentrate on whether the great power competition will lead to the destabilization of the space domain and whether there exist viable mechanisms to effectively restrain counterspace activities and actions of U.S. and allied space competitors/adversaries.
