Circular We are happy to inform you that the 29 th South Zone Aquatic Championship 2016 will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College CAMPUS (JNMC) , Belgaum from 6th – 8th January 2017 in swimming and Water polo events for both boys and girls in Sub Junior and Junior categories in accordance with SFI age group and FINA rules and regulations. The above meet will be organized by Swimmers Club Belgaum and will be conducted by Karnataka Swimming Association under the auspices of Swimming Federation of India and South Zone Council.
1. Age Group ( Swimming ):
Juniors: Group I : 15 to 17 years, Born in the year 1999, 2000 and 2001 Group II : 13 to 14 years, Born in the year 2002 and 2003 Sub-Juniors: Group III: 11 & 12 years Born in the year 2004 and 2005 Group IV: 9 & 10 years, Born in the year 2006 and 2007

Group I & II swimmers can take part in 5 events only excluding relays. Group III swimmers can take part in 4 events only excluding relays. No restrictions for Group IV swimmers. 3. Water polo The water polo championship will be held in both Boys and Girls categories. Those who are born on or after 1. 1. 1999 are eligible to participate. The names of maximum 13 players must be submitted together with the entry form. Reserve names will not be accepted. Participating Water polo team must bring 2 sets of Water polo Caps with Number for their team, no caps will be provided by 0the Organizers. 4. Registration As per the decision of the South Zone Council, all swimmers have to send their registration fees of Rs 100/- per swimmer along with their entries. 5. Accommodation All participants will be provided with unfurnished accommodation from 5 th to 8 th January 2017 close to the Venue of the Championship ( walkable distance ) Bedding will be provided, but swimmers have to bring warm clothings and sheets as Belgaum will be quite cold during January 2017. NO PARENTS WLL BE ACCOMODATED IN THE ACCOMODATION HALL PROVIDED. Children have to stay with Managers and Team Officials. Teams who want the accommodation outside the above said premises will have to make their own arrangements. 6. VENUE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP :The Venue of the Championship is as under:Suvarna JNMC Swimming Pool Campus, Besides District Stadium, JNMC Campus0, Belgaum – 590 016 (KARNATAKA)
7. Reception Teams are required to inform their travel plan to the Organizing Secretary well in advance to arrange proper reception at the railway station. Teams are requested to contact the reception counter on arrival. Reception counter will be available at the entrance lounge of Belgaum Railway Station on 5 th January 2017 from 6 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. 8. Transport Teams are requested to inform their travel plan to the Organizing Secretary with date of arrival, time, train number, number of participants etc in order to arrange proper transportation from railway station to the place of accommodation which is very close to the Swimming Pool. Transport will also be available for going back to Railway Station provided the details are given to the Organizing Secretary on 5th January 2017. 9. State Units are requested to furnish the following by 1 st January 2017. No. of Competitors in Boys and Girls categories separately. Names of Boys & Girls Team Manager (Max 2) Names of Coaches 10. Entry Forms Entries should reach the Organizing Secretary to the address given below on or before 20 th December 2016. All the State Associations are requested to send their entries ONLINE Only. The Invitation for sending your entries ONLINE has been sent to you.
11. Age Certificates The age certificate duly signed by the Head of the Educational Institution or Municipal Corporation in English must be submitted along with the entry form. The ID card or Certificate of National Championship-Merit/participation issued by Swimming Federation of India with birth date will also be considered as valid.
12. Medical Board A scrutiny Committee will be appointed by the Organizing Committee to determine the age of participants. Necessary action will be taken against those who furnish incorrect information / age Certificate.
13. Weather: Weather in Belgaum will be quite cool in the month of January and swimmers are advised to bring jackets and sweaters, if required light blankets also. 14. Managers Meeting Managers Meeting will be held at 5.00p.m. on 5 th January 2017 at JNMC Swimming Pool Campus which is the venue of the championship. 15. General Teams have to bring two state flags and must handover to the Organising Secretary on arrival at the Swimming Pool on 5 th January 2017. Presidents / Secretaries who wish to attend the Zonal Championship may inform their travel plan to the Organising Secretary well in advance to arrange the accommodation.
