30th June 2016 To, The President / Secretaries, All District Affiliated / Non Affiliated Units Sub: 78th Senior MSAAA State Aquatic Championships - 2016 Dear Sir/Madam, As per the directives of Swimming Federation of India, the Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association is pleased to inform you that the 78th Senior State Aquatic Championships - 2016 for Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Events will be held on Saturday 27th& Sunday 28th August 2016, at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Swimming Pool, Mahalunge, Balewadi, Pune. The Championships will be held for Men & Women in accordance with FINA and S.F.I. rules The necessary details are as under: Last date forsubmission of entries is Saturday 13/08/2016 up to 6.00 p.m. No Late Entries, Entries sent by email, without Registration & Entry Fees,shall be taken under any circumstances. (a) SWIMMING: The Swimming events will be as under for both Men and Women category: Free Style: - 50 Mt., 100 Mt., 200 Mt., 400 Mt., 800 Mt.,1500 Mt. Back Stroke: - 50 Mt., 100 Mt., 200 Mt. Breast Stroke: - 50 Mt., 100 Mt., 200 Mt. Butterfly Stroke: - 50 Mt., 100 Mt., 200 Mt. Individual Medley: - 200 Mt., 400 Mt. Free Style Relay:- 4 x 100 Mt., 4 x 200 Mt. Medley Relay:- 4 x 100 Mt. Mixed Relay:-4x 50 Mt Free Style Relay, 4 x 50 Mt Medley Relay Reporting: It is the responsibility of each Swimmer to report to Clerk of the Course at marshaling area at least 15 minutes prior to their designated race. (b) DIVING EVENTS: The events will be as under for both Men and Women. 1. 1 M Spring Board Diving 2. 3 M Spring Board Diving 3. High Board Diving

(c) WATER POLO: Water Polo Championship will be held for both Men and Women.The names of maximum 13 players must be submitted in the entry form. Managers Meeting: The Managers Meeting will be held on Friday 26th August, 2016 at Swimming Pool at 5.00 p.m. Names of all those Participants who are Absent have to be reported. Entry and Registration Fees: Registration Fees: - Rs.200/- per participant per year Entry Fee: - Rs.100/- per event per head Relay Fees: - Rs.300/- per team Water Polo Fees: - Rs.1000/- per team Last date for the receipt of entries is Saturday 13/08/2016 up to 6.00 p.m. Eligibility criteria for participating in the State Championships: 1) All competitors should normally be resident of the District Unit of which they are representing for last six months prior to the Championships. ONLY INDIAN NATIONALS WILL BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. 2) Competitors desirous to compete on behalf of other District Units rather than to which they previously belong must have obtained specific clearance from the Unit concerned at least six months prior to the date of the Championships and have to pay Rs. 500/- towards Transfer Fees to M.S.A.A.A. 3) Competitors infringing the above rules 1 & 2 are liable for penalty or disqualification. 4) Any unit or a Swimmer disagreeing with any decision during the championships shall follow the procedure laid down by the Rules for lodging of the protest. The protest or disagreement expressed or exhibited in any other manner whatsoever shall make the unit/ district or the swimmer to be banned for further participation in the championships and also for disciplinary action may be taken by the M.S.A.A.A. Protest Fees is Rs. 1,000/- Protest has to be filed within 30 minutes of declaration of Result. 5) All the competitors who participate in the State Championships must be registered with the district unit, whom they wish to represent. The registration fee Rs.200/- per head/swimmer per year will be payable to M.S.A.A.A. along with the Registration Forms. Only registered competitors will be permitted to participate in the Championships. 6) Entry Forms, Registration Forms, National Qualifying Time Sheet, Copy of order of events for State Meet as well as National Meet are enclosed herewith for your information and necessary use. Please ensure that preprinted forms are used while sending the entries. No other format will be accepted. Please fill the Registration form in BLOCK LETTERS 7) The last date for the receipt of entries isSaturday 13/08/2016 up to 6.00 p.m. No Late Entries or Entries sent by email shall be taken under any circumstances. Original copy of the Entry form accompanied by Registration Form and Demand Draft in favor of“Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association” payable at Pune towards the Entry and Registration fees shall be sent to the Hon. Gen. Secretary M.S.A.A.A. at the address given

below either by Registered A.D., Courier.“NO ENTRIES WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT CHEQUE OR D.D.” 8) Individual entry must disclose the latest timing recorded by the participating swimmer, the same should be written below the name of the swimmer in the event participating, to facilitate placing in appropriate lane. If the same is not given the competitor will be regarded as the slowest swimmer and placed accordingly as per rules. 9) SWIMMING: Each participating unit shall have the right to send minimum2 entries for each individual event without Qualifying Time requirement and maximum 4 entries within Qualifying Time. The Qualifying Times are provided herewith. A swimmer shall be allowed to participate in maximum 5 Individual Events. Note:-If the race result for an individual participant exceeds Qualifying Time then he/she will be liable to pay a fine of Rs. 500/- per event to M.S.A.A.A. 10) DIVING: Maximum 6 entries shall be accepted for each Event. 11) Every swimmer shall participate in the event he/she is entered in, unless the withdrawal is given in advance i.e. before the championship starts and the swimmer is exempted for valid cause by the Chief Referee of the Meet. Otherwise the concerned unit will be liable to pay Rs. 500/- per Swimmer, per event to M.S.A.A.A. as compensatory cost whose swimmer/s fail/s to participate in the event after sending the entry. 12) No swimmer’s name will be replaced with another swimmer’s name either for individual event or in relay team after the entry is sent to the M.S.A.A.A. 13) Lodging: Accommodation will be provided to Swimmers, 1Team Manager and 1 Coach only. 14) Please ensure that all participants take part in the aforesaid State Championships. However the swimmers who are participating in preparatory camp organized by S.F.I. and training abroad will be considered for selection for National Aquatic Championship-2016, subject to their timings in F.I.N.A. recognized swimming competitions which are available on the Internet. The Manager has to inform about such Swimmers taking part during Managers Meeting and also submit a Letter and timing of the concerned swimmer well before the Championships on the Districts Letter head . No last minute intimation will be allowed. 15) The relay team will comprise of six swimmers, the State Coach and Manager will decide the Composition of final team at the time of event at the National. 16) The MSAAA reserves right to conduct trials in deserving cases even after State Championship and prior to Nationals to finalize team selection if found necessary. 17)The spellings of the Name's of the participants should be correct in the registration form. No correction in the certificate will be made at any cost. You are required to fill the Registration form in BLOCK LETTERS.

18) PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES WILL ONLY BE AWARDED IF THE SWIMMER COMPLETES THE RACE AND IS NOT DISQUALIFIED AND THE DIVER PERFORMS ALL THE NUMBER OF DIVES SUCCESSFULLY AND DOES NOT WITHDRAW. PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES ARE PREPARED ON THE BASIS OF REGISTRATION FORM AND ON COMPLETION OF THE EVENT IT IS MANDATORY TO FILL IN NAMES OF ALL SWIMMERS, DIVERS, AND WATER POLO PLAYERS IN THE REGISTRATION FORM, 19) Limit of Entries for the Senior National Aquatic Championship-2016. As per S.F.I. General Council decision for the Senior National Championship, each State Unit is permitted to send One Entry for Individual Event within Qualifying Time for One Entry. In case of ‘Two Entries’ for Individual Events, both swimmers must be within Qualifying Time of ‘Two Entries’ as per attached Qualifying Time Chart of S.F.I. 20) Swimming, Diving & Water Polo events will be held in accordance with latest FINA RulesSwimming Events will be conducted with ‘ONE START’ only. 21) The MSAAA reserves right to change the Program of the Events if required. 22) Individual Championship will be awarded in each group event. Please note that the 70th GlenmarkSenior National Aquatic Championships – 2016will be organized at Veer BudhuBhagat Aquatic Stadium, Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar, Ranchi, (Jharkhand) from Saturday 24th September to Wednesday 28th September 2016 by the Jharkhand Swimming Association, under the auspices of Swimming Federation of India.
