31st Annual SEAD Picnic
The SEAD Picnic will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Clock Building in the South Park Fairgrounds, 100 Buffalo Drive. This year's SEAD Democrats Picnic theme “Star Wars”. Activities will include: A Wild World of Animals Show, horse and pony Rides, A Star Wars Costume Contest, A psychic Medium Show, DJ Bob Scullion, A basket auction and a 50/50. Forget the Force, the Blue Tide of enthusiasm for Democrats is forming all across the nation. What began in Pennsylvania in the spring with the election of Conor Lamb, with your help, will re-elect Govenor Tom Wolf, send John Fetterman to the Lt. Governor’s office, re-elect Senator Bob Casey and increase the Democratic strength in the House and Senate. For 31 years the SEAD Picnic has become the unofficial kick off of the fall campaign. Last year over 700 hundred Democrats including candidates, elected officials, community leaders, Democratic Committee and SEAD Members attended our picnic. Many statewide candidates also joined in the fun. The SEAD Picnic has been called by many candidates and elected officials one of the best Democratic Picnics in the State. This electoral battle we not be won with light sabers, but rather by getting our message out to everyday voters and energizing our Democratic Base. Sponsorship of The SEAD Picnic is a great way to get your name in front of hundreds of active and energized Democrats from throughout the county. It’s not too late to be a sponsor. The SEAD Picnic is free thanks to the support of our sponsors. (Attendees are only asked to bring a covered dish enough for 8 people.) Sponsorship is available at a variety of different levels as listed below. As a sponsor, your name or business name will be listed in our newsletter and seen by hundreds of people from all over Allegheny County, it will be listed on the SEAD website, and it will also be listed on our sponsor board at the picnic.
