Credit Suisse wishes to encourage women currently engaged in undergraduate university studies to consider careers within the finance sector. Credit Suisse is proud to offer its own investment banking scholarship for female university students (the Scholarship). The Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to female students as they plan for their final year of study and entry into a career in investment banking.

Details 2.1

Financial Assistance: A$10,000 (less applicable tax, if any)

Other benefits: The Awardee will also be given the opportunity to interview for summer internship position in the Investment Banking Division. If this opportunity is pursued, the Awardee will proceed directly to final round interviews. (see Clause 3 below for more details)

Study Mode:

Full-time undergraduate study, on-campus (i.e. not correspondence study)

Summer Internship Programme 3.1

In addition to the cash award, the Awardee will be given the opportunity to automatically participate in final round interviews for a paid position in Credit Suisse's Summer Internship Programme.

3.2

Credit Suisse's Summer Internship Programme is an 11 week programme commencing at the end of November of each year. The Summer Internship Programme operates to give interns exposure to at least one of Credit Suisse's three businesses in the Investment Banking Division (being Investment Banking Department, Equities and Fixed Income) and is an important source of full-time hiring in Australia. It provides the Awardee the opportunity to participate in our unique collaborative culture. During the Summer Internship Programme, participants meet and network with peers and Credit Suisse employees from all levels and will develop a skill set that will set them apart from other graduates embarking on careers in finance.

It is not a condition of the Scholarship that the Awardee must be available to participate in the Summer Internship Programme.

Eligibility Criteria 4.1

To be eligible for the Scholarship, you must be:

(a)

a female student in your penultimate year at any Australian university;

(b)

enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate degree(s) from any academic field; and

(c)

an Australian citizen, permanent resident or otherwise be permitted to work in Australia on a full time basis at the time that you submit your application. Please contact Credit Suisse for further information about other persons who may be eligible under this condition.

Selection Criteria 5.1

The winner of the Credit Suisse Investment Banking Women's Scholarship, as determined by the Selection Panel, must demonstrate exceptional ability in all of the following five long term success criteria:

(a)

People Leadership: Proven ability to lead and build a team; inspire, empower and encourage others toward action; accountable for their own actions.

(b)

Professional Skills: Displays an analytical approach to tasks; systematic and logical reasoning to problem solving; and quantitative capability. In academics having achieved a distinction to high distinction average.

(c)

Proactive Approach: Self-motivated, resourceful, driven with a committed work ethic; delivers “outcomes”.

(d)

Partnership: Builds and manages relationships, adaptable and supportive team player with a positive outlook. Strong communication skills; articulate, confident, active listener.

(e)

Principled Behaviour: Behaves ethically, acts with integrity and possesses the courage to stand on principle.

How to Apply 6.1

Applications must be submitted online at www.credit-suisse.com/careers and include the following necessary documentation:

(a)

a cover letter addressed to the Recruiter (marked Ref: Credit Suisse Scholarship);

(b)

a resume;

(c)

a certified copy of your most recent academic transcript; and

(d)

proof of eligibility to work in Australia following graduation.

6.2

When applying online, you must select the Melbourne or Sydney office to process your application, based on your own location (candidates who are not residents in Victoria or New South Wales must select the Sydney office).

All applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of their application.

Closing Date 7.1

Students who hold other scholarships or intend to undertake a summer internship are eligible and encouraged to apply. However, students who hold scholarships from other Investment Banks are not eligible to apply.

The closing date for all applications will be Friday 10 Applications received after this date will not be considered.

Offer of Scholarship 8.1

All hardcopy correspondence during the application process will be sent to the address submitted in your scholarship application. Please ensure that your address details in your application are up-to-date.

The Awardee will receive a Letter of Offer confirming the scholarship award. The Scholarship must be accepted in writing by the date specified in the Letter of Offer. If the offer is not accepted within the date specified, the offer will lapse and the Scholarship may be allocated to another eligible student.

Payment Tenure The Scholarship shall comprise of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) payable into your nominated bank account in two equal instalments, each of $5,000, less applicable taxes if any. The first instalment will be paid following the return of the signed confirmation letter and the second and final instalment will be paid following the commencement of your final year of study.

Leave of Absence 11.1

Where you intend to take a leave of absence during your final year of study, you must apply for and seek approval from Credit Suisse to suspend the Scholarship for the period of leave prior to taking the leave. In the event your leave of absence is unexpected due to exceptional medical circumstances, you must seek approval as soon as possible following commencement of leave.

11.2

Any application for suspension should be accompanied by appropriate supporting material (for example, doctors' certificates).

11.3

The maximum amount of time in which Credit Suisse may allow you to suspend the Scholarship is [12] months.

11.4

Approval for both suspension and continuation of the Scholarship is at the sole and absolute discretion of Credit Suisse.

11.5

If Credit Suisse approves a leave of absence, you will not be entitled to receive the final Scholarship payment during the leave of absence. When you recommence your studies, the final Scholarship payment will be issued according to the Terms and Conditions set by Credit Suisse in connection with your leave of absence, or as otherwise set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Deferment & Transfer of Scholarship 12.1

If you make any changes to your enrolment after receiving any instalment of the Scholarship you must notify Credit Suisse immediately of such changes. Failure to advise Credit Suisse of changes in a timely manner may result in forfeiture of the Scholarship.

Except where Credit Suisse grants you permission to suspend your studies in accordance with Clause 11, you will not be able to defer the Scholarship.

Termination of Scholarship 13.1

After the Scholarship has been awarded, the Scholarship may be terminated by Credit Suisse if you no longer satisfy the conditions of the Scholarship. You will no longer satisfy the conditions of the Scholarship if you:

(a)

discontinue, withdraw from or are terminated from your course of study;

(b)

do not notify Credit Suisse of changes to your academic circumstances during the life of the Scholarship;

(c)

engage in academic misconduct (including but not limited to failing to adhere to university academic and administrative policies) or any other misconduct or improper behaviour which in the sole determination of Credit Suisse causes or has the potential to cause harm to the business or reputation of Credit Suisse;

(d)

do not meet the Eligibility Criteria contained in Clause 4 during the life of the Scholarship;

(e)

do not meet eligibility for study in Australia; and

(f)

do not comply with any conditions specified in the Letter of Offer.

Provision of False Information 14.1

If you no longer satisfy one of the conditions in Clause 13.1, Credit Suisse may, at its sole and absolute discretion, terminate the Scholarship.

The awarding of the Scholarship is based on the information that you provide to Credit Suisse. The Scholarship may be withdrawn at any stage if you provide incorrect information or withhold relevant information, or if you ask another person to do so on your behalf.

Privacy 15.1

The information you provide to Credit Suisse in connection with your application for the Scholarship is collected for the primary purpose of assessing your eligibility to receive the Scholarship. Other purposes of collection include dealing with administrative matters relating to your application, administration of the Scholarship programme, corresponding with you, statistical analysis and to comply with legislative reporting requirements.

15.2

You have a right to access your personal information that Credit Suisse holds, subject to any exceptions in relevant legislation. Other Conditions 16.1

The Scholarship shall be administered and funded independently by Credit Suisse. You acknowledge that your university has no obligation or liability to award or administer the Scholarship.

16.2

The Scholarship will entitle the Awardee to an opportunity to interview for a position in Credit Suisse's Summer Internship Programme as part of the final round interviews but does not constitute a guaranteed offer of a position in Credit Suisse's Summer Internship Programme. Further, neither the Scholarship nor participation in Credit Suisse's Summer Internship Programme should be construed as a guarantee or commitment of any ongoing employment with Credit Suisse.

16.3

Credit Suisse may change these terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion and shall provide the Awardee with written notice of such changes as soon as reasonably practicable.

Acceptance of Conditions 17.1

In applying for the Credit Suisse Investment Banking Women's Scholarship, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions outlined above.
