5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS ADVENTURE TREK AT BORNEO RAINFOREST LODGE Day 1
Meet and greet at Sandakan Airport. Depart to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for 1000hrs feeding of Orangutan and proceed for the 1030hrs video show. Depart Sepilok to Sim Sim Jetty to Abai Jungle Restaurant. Lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. Estimated arrival at Abai Jungle Lodge. River cruise to the best part of Kinabatangan River until night falls and continue for the night cruise to witness the fireflies as Christmas tree. Dinner serve at Jetty facing Kinabatangan River. Guided night walk at the nature boardwalk. Overnight at Abai Jungle Lodge. Meals : Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2
Depart to Sukau. Breakfast a Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Depart for 2 hours overland journey to Lahad Datu. Estimated arrival at Lahad Datu and proceed to Borneo Nature Tours office for registration and briefing. Depart for 2.5 hours overland journey on gravel road to protected area of lowland dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah, covering 42,800 hectares. Arrive and check in at the Lodge and proceed for lunch. Afternoon trek : Introduction to the forest through “Nature Trails” and tree top “Canopy Walkway” 300 m in length and 26 m at the highest point for a close-up observation of the rainforest. Dinner at the lodge. Night drive in an open-top vehicle in search of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast at the Lodge. Morning Jungle Trek : Trek to the Kadazan-Dusun Burial Site – Coffin Cliff before proceed to the View Point for a bird’s eye view of the area. Trek to the Fairy Falls and Serpent Falls to experience more of the sound and sights of the Rainforest. Descend to the natural pool for a refreshing dip. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon jungle trekking or go for a relaxing session of ‘tubing’ down the Danum River. Dinner at the Lodge. Night walk in search of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast at the Lodge. Morning Jungle Trek : Trekking into one of the trails depending on wildlife sighting Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon jungle trek in search for more wildlife. Dinner at the Lodge. Optional Night Drive (depending on space availability) or Nigh Walk in search of nocturnal animals. Overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast at the Lodge. Guest at own leisure. Optional : Jungle trekking. Lunch at the Lodge. Check out and depart for 2.4 hours overland journey to Lahad Datu Airport. Meals : Breakfast and Lunch.
