74/215 INTERCHANGE PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION ALERT Alert #7 Date: Thursday, September 16, 2010 PERRIS – The Riverside County Transportation Commission and project partners are continuing to prepare for construction of the 74‐215 Interchange (also known as the 4th Street Interchange). Construction crews will work on installing a drainage system along freeway ramps. Closures will be required as follows: Date, Time and Details Closure Activity Closure Location Closure of Northbound on‐ramp at Monday through Wednesday nights, Sept. 20, 21 & 22 on‐ramp Redlands Avenue Closure will occur each night from 8 pm to 4 am the following morning. During these closures, use Nuevo Road on‐ramp. th Closure of Northbound I‐215 off‐ramp at 4 Wednesday and Thursday nights, Sept. 22 & 23 off‐ramp Street Closure will occur each night from 8 pm to 4 am the following morning. Friday night, Sept. 24 Closure will occur from 9 pm to 6 am the following morning. During these closures, motorists will be directed to use the Nuevo Road off‐ramp. The project will pave the way for better traffic flow, easier access to downtown Perris and improved connections to both north and south Interstate 215. The project will replace the current two‐lane bridge over the freeway with an eight‐lane bridge, realign freeway ramps, widen streets, replace stop signs with traffic signals, add a sidewalk north of the bridge and build residential sound walls.
