Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, On behalf of the Yacht Club Langenargen we warmly welcome you to the “8mR World Cup”. The YCL will host this “World Cup” from the 25.06. – 07.07.2018 in its home port, the BMK Yachthafen Langenargen. The Yacht Club Langenargen proudly looks back on a long and successful tradition in regatta sports. Not just in the field of yacht sailing, but also in the youth and junior classes the YCL is a stronghold. Along with traditional regattas, that are carried out year for year, it is extremely wonderful to welcome a new class to our club and above all to carry out the “8mR World Cup” 2018. The „8mR World Cup“ is carried out for the second time on the Lake of Constance. 2006 the elegant yachts were guests in Lindau. That’s why it’s a special honor for us to host the “8mR World Cup” in our port of Langenargen. Tradition is the emphasis of classical yachts and their owners/crew and that’s why we hope to undertake a successful, exciting and varied event. An opportunity for you to hop aboard with us at the 8mR World Cup! Raise your Sails with us. To everybody again a feel at home and enjoy your stay!

Tuesday 26th June Arrival, rigging and test sailing of the 8mR Yachts Terrace and bar service in the event tent with public viewing of the football World Championship, from approximately 4pm. Wednesday 27th June Yacht Measurement and YCL Wednesday regattta First official part of the program, the measurement of the yachts begins. At the same time, in the evening, there is the traditional YCL Wednesday regatta. This would be the first offered training session and training regatta of the 8m Yachts, in front of Langenargen. Event tent: Service and after race drink following the Wednesday regatta. Thursday 28th June

“The Classic Cup” Training in front of Langenargen and arrival of the yachts for the event opening; 6mR, 8mR, 75er nat., 45er nat., L-Boats. Event tent: Service and in the evening, the ‘classic lounge’ party.
Saturday 30th June
“The Classic Cup” The opening regatta of the world cup offers a perfect opportunity for the yachts to get used to the local area and to befriend the other competitors. Other classic yachts will be at the start. A first opportunity to participate ‘actively’ and live in a regatta. In the evening, event tent service: get together with music.
Sunday 1st July
“The Classic Cup” prize-giving The opening regatta ends with the ‘Concours d’élégance’ and finally the prize-giving.
In the ‘Chapiteau’ tent, the public viewing of the 2018 football World Championships is in full swing.

accommodation Langenargen is known as the „Sonnenstube“ of Lake Constance. Mainly in the summer months it is a popular destination for Tourists. From a comfortable hotel by the lake to the inviting private residences in the rural part of town Oberdorf, from the apartment house with private port to the cosy vacation home on a farm. arriving Langenargen is situated in the south of Germany. It is approximately 10 km from Friedrichshafen and approx. 50 km from Altenrhein. In Friedrichshafen and Altenrhein there are two local airports that can be reached from different destinations. Langenargen is well connected with the airports in München, Zürich and Stuttgart. All of these Airports are approximately 200 km form Langenargen and can easily reachable by car in 2-2.5 hours. The airports are also well connected by train. Langenargen is also connected on the eastern side by the Bundesstrasse (B31) to the general Autobahn grid. The A96 is a distributor road in direction of Munich. In the west the B31 leads to the autobahn A81 and A5 in direction of Stuttgart and Zuerich. On site the local Train- and Busservices are at your disposal. Most accommodations are in close proximity to the BMK Yachthafen Langenargen. location / BMK Yachthafen Langenargen The BMK Yachthafen Langenargen is a natural port situated halfway between Lindau and Friedrichshafen directly at the river mouth of the “Argen” which runs into the lake. A beach with natural tree population borders the inner harbour to the Lake of Constance, which not only makes it a green refugium but also an absolutely safe and calm moorage. The newly erected crane lifts up to 26 metric tons and lifts boats safely and steadily in and out of the harbor. Boat cleaning is not just a question of personal aesthetics. Maintenance preserves value and sustains more enjoyment. Appropriate Equipment for the cleaning of the boats and the big washing area with oil separator are at your disposal. The right equipment is also an essential part of the boat. The BMK Yachthafen Langenargen also contains a Shop for boat and sailing accessories. The BMK Yachthafen also offers an extensive selection of equipment and clothing that meets high standards in quality and functionality and leaves nothing to be desired. Another integral part of the port is the resident North Sails Loft. If necessary, the team at North Sails is always happy to help with repairs. Aside from all the technical service providers on site, a yacht port cannot miss a sailing school with boat charter. “DAS Boot-GmbH” provides, especially for the “Land-Crew”, possibilities to explore the Lake of Constance. DAS-Boot-GmbH has motor- and sailboats in different sizes ready to charter – in case of necessity also with skipper. Wakeboard, waterski, banana, screamer or tube. With the power boats of the DAS-Boot-GmbH fun is guaranteed. More information is available at www-DAS-BootGmbH.de or spontaneously on site. The „World Cup Village” offers food in a broad culinary range. All official activities are held there. But the BMK Yachthafen Langenargen is known for its ambitiously led gastronomy and offers two outstanding localities. It is open to you if you want to enjoy real mediterranean cuisine in a breathtakingly beautiful setting or meat and fish specialties directly from the grill in a wonderful atmosphere. Both locales are helmed by Mariano and Edith Pusceddu and are sincerely welcome you.
