A private scholarship for students eligible for the Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program and who have a 28 or higher on the ACT.

APPLY EARLY

Awards will be prioritized by first-come, first-serve and we will make awards until the funding is depleted.

ELIGIBILITY

• Award amounts will be up to $2000 for the academic year • 2017-18 Missouri high school seniors who attend a 4-year institution that is participating in the Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program for the 2018-2019 school year • Meet the state’s Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program expected family contribution of $12,000 or less • 28 or higher on the ACT or the SAT equivalent • Enrolled full-time • U.S Citizen • Missouri resident

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Students will be required to complete an online application on Scholarship Central, including uploading SAR, ACT score report and answer a few general questions. You can link to Scholarship Central at myscholarshipcentral.org. Once you set up a profile, you will be able to save information, apply for other scholarships and submit your application using the central online application. • After awarded, student will need to have Financial Aid Office complete/sign the Verification Form

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• If this award is used for educational expenses that are not required for your academic program, such as housing, meals or transportation, your scholarship may be considered taxable income. You should consult your tax advisor about your specific situation. • If awarded the scholarship, the amount may be reduced if your unmet need (i.e., your Cost of Attendance minus other scholarships and grants) is less than the scholarship. • Program funding will be determined annually by the Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation’s Board of Directors. • Applicants will be notified if a scholarship is awarded or not in mid-to-late June. If awarded, the first half of the funds will be sent to the Financial Aid Office in mid-August for the eligible student and must be used to cover the cost of attendance (as determined by the school). • Scholarships are available on a first come, first serve basis and at the discretion of the MSLF in accordance with program rules and applicable law. Scholarship applications will be considered, provided that funding designated for this program remains available.

RENEWAL ELIGIBILITY

The intention of this scholarship is for it to be renewable each year. Program funding and renewal funding will be determined annually by the Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation’s Board of Directors. If funding is available, scholarship recipients from the previous years will be contacted to apply using a special application for renewal of the scholarship. Criteria for a renewal scholarship are as follows: • Continue to meet the eligibility requirements for initial students such as EFC and full-time status. • Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 and otherwise maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by your school.
