Dear All

Welcome to the first edition of our 2018 catalogue of accredited training programmes. During 2017 the prevailing question was whether skills development was a nice to have or a necessity. Second to this was the question of maximising SETA skills spend. As businesses began to realise that Skills Development was not only preferable, but also a business imperative, we started to see more and more learners enrolled on accredited programmes. The benefits of these are multiple but include: a motivated, skilled workforce; points under the Skills Development Element on the BEE scorecard; tax incentives and the ability to claim back Skills Development Levies. CBM Training has addressed an increased demand for accredited training by developing and now offering a varied range of accredited interventions. Our learnerships, skills development programmes and accredited short courses are fully customisable to meet your organisational, regulatory, as well as Skills Development requirements and are designed to accommodate even the most demanding of schedules. We offer both public and onsite programmes – which means you can train as many or as few people as you would like. In addition, we offer a free consultancy service that will assist you with the perfect implementation plan, making Skills Development and BEE Compliance easy! So, if you are looking for accredited training for your staff, and would like to take advantage of the many benefits this will bring, then please contact us on (011) 454 5505 and we will be happy to assist you.

LEVEL 4 B-BBEE CERTIFIED CBM Training has a level 4 B-BBEE certificate, and has been evaluated and audited by the BEE Verification Agency, an accredited verification company.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES What Accredited Training Programmes do we offer? – Learnerships: A Learnership is defined as a work-based route for learning and gaining qualifications. It includes both structured work experience (practical) and structured institutional learning (theory). In other words, it includes both on-the-job and academic components. A Learnership is not the only way to gain a full NQF qualification; but does offer a very specific approach. *CBM Training offers both full and RPL (Required Prior Learning) Learnerships. All learnerships have specific entry requirements, however RPL learnerships also require relevant workplace experience.

– Accredited Skills Programmes: A Skills Programme encompasses a bundle of related Unit Standards for a particular learnership. If found competent, delegates will earn credits towards the nationally recognised qualification.

– Accredited Short Courses: Accredited Short Courses are individual short skills courses with assessments, fully aligned to an individual Unit Standard. If found competent, delegates will earn credits that they can accumulate towards a SETA qualification.

Who can do Accredited Training Programmes? Accredited Training Programmes can be undertaken by three different kinds of learners:

Senior Management Leadership Development Programme About the Course Managing a team is also often associated with leading. While these competencies are complementary, they are not necessarily automatically found together. A good manager is someone who knows what is needed to accomplish the goals set by the organisation and how this should be achieved and implemented. Leaders on the other hand are able to inspire employees to do their best because they foster a stimulating working environment that thrives on collaboration and within which people feel valued and appreciated. The very best, high functioning teams usually have an executive who is strong in both these competencies. This intensive 6 day programme will provide experienced managers with a 360° view of how they should be building, leading and motivating their teams. It focuses on building your skills as a team leader and provides top techniques that will enable you to empower and supercharge your teams.
