Advance Notification of VSP Portfolio Changes to remove Material Codes with included Power Cords when transitioned to Extreme Networks price list and ordering tools.

Only Switch

and Power Supply models with No Power Cords (“A” version) will be offered through Extreme Networks. Power cords will need to be ordered separately for each chassis or power supply. As a result of this change, this Notification is also intended to provide advance notification of the End of Sale of the switch and power supply Material Codes which contain power cords. These models are indicated by the 7th character (“B”, “C”, “D”, “E” or “F”) for switches and power supplies. This notice is NOT intended to imply End of Sale for the product families or “A” models of each family impacted by this change. The “A” versions of each model will continue to be available through Extreme Networks. This document is the advance notification intent to release only the ‘no power cord’ models of VSP switches and power supplies when transitioned to the Extreme Networks price list and ordering systems. Customers and partners will need to order the “A” version of each switch or power supply, and to separately order the appropriate power cord for each switch or power supply. This document is also the advance notification of the April 8, 2017 end-of-sale of the models of each switch and power supply which contain included power cords. The affected models are listed below, along with the equivalent “Base unit without power cord” along with the “Heritage Avaya power cord” and “Extreme Networks power cord” required for equivalency. Both power cords will be available from Extreme Networks. The “Heritage Avaya power cord” is available from Avaya today for new quotes and purchases if desired.
