The cost to register for this workshop is $275.00 payable by cash or check to Geauga SWCD or to pay by credit card, please call 440-834-1122. Payment for the workshop must be sent with your registration form. Graduate credit must be paid for the first day of the workshop (1 credit - $200 / 2 credits - $375 / 3 credits - $550). The registration fee covers the cost of all guidebooks, materials, meals, lodging, and transporation. You will receive confirmation of your registration within two weeks of receipt.

Come join us! Back by popular demand, the Geauga and Portage County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) are sponsoring the 8th annual Advanced Wonders of Watersheds (WOW) teacher workshop June 22 - June 24, 2015. This workshop is designed to give teachers and educators an in-depth look at the natural resources in the Great Lakes region and how these resources can be used to create a lasting educational experience for students. Participants who have previously attended a Wonders of Watersheds workshop or equivalent training will have the opportunity to attend this three-day advanced workshop. All participants will receive Flying Wild, Wonders of Wetlands, and Healthy Water Healthy People curriculum guides along with Teachers on the Estuary (T.O.T.E.) resources. Through hands-on activities and relevant research in the Lake Erie basin, gain ways to integrate real world science into your classroom. This fun, engaging workshop is open to educators of all grades and disciplines. One to three optional graduate credits will be available through Ashland University for attending. Enrollment is limited so register early - only 10 teachers will be accepted. Don’t miss out on this unique and affordable adventure of a lifetime! Registration deadline is May 15th.
