Advancement Coordinator Bishop Marshall School (BJAMS) is an independent Catholic school serving children in Pre-K through 8th grade that educates children of all faiths to achieve academic excellence, challenging them to fully develop their God-given talents with commitment to truth, compassion, self-discipline, and love for all. Bishop Marshall School offers a fun and positive work environment, serving 135 children and governed by a Board of Trustees. The Advancement Office at Bishop Marshall School is growing and seeks a driven candidate for an internship/volunteer opportunity as the Advancement Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Coordinator will be exposed to many areas of school operations, gaining valuable skills, a range of experience, and help advance Bishop Marshall School. Areas of responsibility will be determined based on candidate’s availability and skill set, and may include: • • • • • • • • • •

Database management Coordinating and assembling mailings Website management Content generation Social media marketing Email marketing Print marketing Fundraising operations and logistics (will not be fundraising directly) Admissions operations and logistics Other areas as needed

Candidate must be reliable and responsible, have a professional aptitude, strong interpersonal skills, be comfortable with technology, willing/able to learn new things, and exude a positive attitude. Experience working in a professional office setting and/or college education is a plus but not required. Experience working with a database a plus. Entry-level experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel are required. The work scheduled can be flexible, including start-date (and end-date if necessary), however a minimum availability of 6 hours/week is required. The opportunity to grow in responsibility and time involvement exists for qualified candidates.
