Overview Updated New York State Advertising Regulations New York State Association of Realtors have, as of January 2, 2014, created new advertising guidelines. These guidelines now include specific rules for your online and social marketing as well as all print media. •
There are fines associated with violations of these rules, so it is advisable to review them and update your information.
The goal for these guidelines is to provide the consumer with a clear picture of the name of the authorized real estate broker and how to easily contact them. It is also to allow the consumer to know the legal name of the agent that is marketing their real estate services.
