AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION CIRCULAR 24/17 ADJUSTMENT OF THE RESTRICTED AIRSPACE CYR538 RIDEAU HALL, OTTAWA, ONTARIO At the request of the RCMP, NAV CANADA, the country's provider of civil air navigation services, has adjusted the location and dimension of the restricted airspace CYR538 over the Governor General’s Residence, Rideau Hall. The purpose of this change is to enhance the security of the Rideau Hall buildings and grounds. The new dimension and coordinates are as follows: The airspace within the area bounded by a circle of 0.4 nautical mile radius centered on 45°26'38.90” N 075°41'17.80" W, surface to 3,000 feet above sea level (ASL). (See map sketch below.) This change is planned to take effect 07 December 2017, at 0901 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The appropriate aeronautical publications will be amended. Note that on this Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) date the aeronautical information circular (AIC) will revert to an AIP Supplement for reference until the new Ottawa visual flight rules (VFR) terminal area chart (VTA) (AIR 1905) is published in May 2018.
