African American History. The Department of History at Villanova University invites applications for an entry-level, tenure track position, in African American History to begin August 2018. Candidates should be able to teach a two semester undergraduate and graduate survey in African American History. The successful applicant will also teach a thematically-based core History course of his/her creation and will be able to offer courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in her/his areas of specialization. Teaching load 3-2. After a successful Third Year Review, a one-semester sabbatical is available in the fourth year and the 3-2 teaching load is continued for another three years. Ph.D. required at the time the position commences. The application deadline is November 1, 2017.Selected candidates will be interviewed at the AHA annual meeting.
