AIM Sunshine Fund COMMUNITY PROJECT AWARD The AIM Sunshine Fund AIM Independent Living Center’s Sunshine Fund is an employee-driven monetary account. The Sunshine Fund provides loans to employees. It is also used to fund gifts to acknowledge births, deaths, hospitalizations, etc. The fund is governed by AIM’s Sunshine Fund Committee. The Community Project Award Three times each year, the Sunshine Fund Committee awards funding to projects that benefit the community. Funding is awarded in April, July and November. Applications for funding are due by the last Friday of the preceding month. All requests for funding are reviewed by the Sunshine Fund Committee. Awards are capped at $100. Eligibility Businesses, organizations and individuals may request funding for community projects. Any project that benefits the community at large will be considered for funding. In the past, the Community Project Award has benefited organizations like the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and the Advocacy Center.
