The School and Community Annapolis (Charm City) is in central Maryland, set on the south bank of the Severn River near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Annapolis, a colonial town 350 years old is the capital of Maryland. Annapolis is considered the sailing capital of the world and home to the United States Naval Academy. Annapolis has an extremely diverse population both ethnically and economically.

4 credits Annapolis High School was founded in 1896, as the first public high (Algebra, Geometry & 2 math elect.) PE/Health 1.5 credits school to open in Anne Arundel County and among the first in the state 1 credit of Maryland. The school was named 16th best high school in the state in Basic Technology Fine Art 1 credit 2010. It is noted for its International Baccalaureate Program and its Electives 8.5 credits Performing and Visual Arts Program. AHS offers Advanced Placement 75 hrs. Service Learning classes as well as English for Speakers of Other Language Program. It Completer has a long storied athletic history, having won titles in football, basketball, lacrosse, as well as a strong swimming team.
