Technology Requirement Due to the increasing need of technology in higher education, Liberty University Online is utilizing internet resources for all academic programs. In order to be successful in the program, every student must have access to a computer with internet access. Students taking courses will need: - Access to the Internet (High-speed broadband connection recommended: DSL, Cable, Satellite, or Wireless) - Web browser: Internet Explorer 7.0 or Firefox; Safari for Macs; (AOL not directly supported) - An email account - Microsoft Office 2007, including Microsoft PowerPoint & Microsoft Word (not Word Perfect) - Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 (for PDF files)
If you are using an IBM-compatible computer, you will need: - Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 - Dual Core processor or higher - 2GB of RAM or greater - 60GB hard drive or greater - Color monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution with at least a 128MB graphics card If you are using a Macintosh computer, you will need: - Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later - Intel Core 2 Duo processor or higher - 2GB of RAM or greater - 80GB hard drive or greater - Color monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution with at least a 128MB graphics card
