Part 2: Participant’s Commitment

I agree to do the following: 1. Attend all sessions of the seminar and complete all required assignments; 2. Develop three lesson plans, one each on China, Japan, and Korea; 3. Implement these lesson plans in the year following the seminar; 4. Participate in a follow-up event and submit a report on how the lessons were implemented within the specified time frame; 5. Continue integrating East Asia into my curriculum wherever possible. 6. Notify EASC of email address changes if/when they should occur; email is our primary means of communicating with you regarding several important matters throughout the year. Related to this, it is the participant’s responsibility to read ALL emails. Failure to keep email addresses updated with EASC and/or failure to read seminar emails could result in inability to register for graduate credit and/or forfeiture of personal stipends/school grants. I understand that I must be employed half-time or more in a K-12 public or private school to be eligible to participate in the program and to receive the stipends. I have reviewed the syllabus and participant information on the EASC Web site (http://www.iu.edu/~easc/outreach/educators/seminar/index.shtml) and am aware that receipt of my stipends is contingent upon successful completion of all program requirements.
