STORYTIME For pre-school aged children, stories and crafts will be based on a weekly theme. Groups must call in advance before attending story time. A $1 donation is suggested. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION Children of all ages are encouraged to attend the Earth Day Celebration. Events begin at 10:00 am with a seed filled egg hunt. Storytime & Craft will follow at 11:00 am & Ecosystem Tag at 12:00 pm. Throughout the day, children can race a Winnie the Pooh stick, make and take home a seed necklace, and plant a sunflower. Help us build a recycled mosaic picture by donating clean plastic bottle caps. Sponsored by the WY State Parks and supported by the City of Cheyenne Parks & Recreation Department. April 26th is the alternate date in the event of terrible weather. EXPLORATION These classes will offer a vast exposure to cultural traditions in the world. Children under 6 must be assisted by an adult. Classes marked with * require a $5 fee and pre-registration. Otherwise, a $1 donation is suggested. ART Seasonal art projects for all ages. For a cost of $75, Family Memberships allow free admission to 160 gardens nationwide, reduced prices on retail items and classes, a 10% discount at garden centers, members’ newsletter and more! RULES OF ETIQUETTE In the interest of preserving a safe, educational and family friendly atmosphere for our guests and a secure habitat for our plants and property, please observe the following: Rocks. No throwing or skipping. Dogs. Gentle, well-behaved dogs on a 6 foot leash, held by an adult, are welcome. Look. Explore with your senses. Do not collect, climb or eat garden growth. Wet. Water is for thirsty plants, not thirsty people. Paths may be slippery. Wading is permitted with grown-up supervision. If the water is above your knees you are in too deep. Walk. Recreational equipment is not permitted. Play. Guests under 12 must remain in the sight of their grown-up. Manners. Polite, joyful and creative language is encouraged. Recycle. Containers are available. Breathe. Keep our air fresh. Smoking is prohibited. Weather. Due to inclement weather we may close for the safety of our guests. Ice. Stay off when present. Staff may enforce any unwritten rule as deemed necessary for safety.
