Archiving Courses Under the Control Panel click on Packages and Utilities and then click on Export /Archive Course.

Click on the Export Package or* Archive Course button.

*Export vs. Archive Export packages only your content, no student data. Archive packages all content and student data.

The following screen will appear.

Grade Center History contains date and time of every grade change and submitted attempt Click Submit This green bar will appear at the top of the screen after you click Submit.

Wait for the email. Refresh your screen by clicking the refresh button on the top of your course menu.

NOTE: Mac/Safari users please turn off the automatic opening of “safe” files before downloading the .zip file.

In Preferences… uncheck this box so your .zip file will not extract upon downloading.

When it is complete you will see your archive file link. Click on the link to download it.

A dialog box will open asking you if you want to Open or Save the file. Choose Save.

Some browsers will automatically download the file when you click on the link and put it in the Downloads folder on your computer.

Save this file somewhere locally, like on your desktop or on a CD. Somewhere local to you so you have it and can bring it to Blackboard Support if you want to put this course back in Blackboard in the future.
