Hello everyone! elcome to the second edition of the Ask e Paediatricians Foundation News Magazine for 2017. e year 2017 was an amazing year for us at Ask e Paediatricians Foundation. We were able by the grace of God to move forward and accomplished more than we did in 2016. Introducing Ask The Paediatricians Foundation

sk e Paediatricians Foundation started as an online Facebook Group on the 20th July 2015 by Dr. Gbemisola Boyede, Consultant Paediatrician at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idiaraba Lagos. What started as one woman's passion to educate mothers on child health issues on social media has now metamorphosed into a full- edged non-governmental organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in July 2017. Our Vision at Ask e Paediatricians Foundation is to promote good health and wellbeing of children globally; especially in Nigeria and Africa in keeping with the Sustainable Development Goal 4. We carry out this vision by promoting child health intelligence of caregivers of children through the agency of evidenced-based health education, information, training and community medical outreaches. Ask e Paediatricans Foundation has four major areas of focus : 1) Health education online forum via the Facebook Group, Page and Website 2) Community Medical Outreaches 3) Health Seminars and Training Workshop for Healthcare professionals and parents and 4) Support for Orphans and Vulnerable children.

Our online health education forum Facebook where Paediatricians and other health care professional provide free health education, information and answers to various health questions by parents and caregivers of children currently has more than 400,000 members who have testi ed to the great impact of the Group on improving their knowledge on healthcare of their children. In addition to educating mothers, we also equip healthcare professionals on our platform. Ask e Paediatricians has organized successful Nutrition Seminars for healthcare professionals. Ask e Paediatricians foundation has organised three successful community Medical Outreaches in Makoko ( October 2016), Ijegun (May 2017) and Jakande-lekki (October 2017). We have also collaborated with many other institutions in medical outreaches. Ask e Paediatricians support the Annual Christmas Lunch for underprivileged children in collaboration with other partners. We also renovated the dilapidated school building at LGEA Primary School Mancha Village Edu LGA La aji Kwara State where children were learning under a tree on bare dirty oor. Daily, Ask e Paediatricians Foundation is impacting the life of thousands of children and family globally through promotion of child healthcare and intelligence.

sk e Paediatricians Foundation turns 2 on the 21st July 2017. We celebrated all week long ending with the Anniversary Party/Award Ceremony on the 22nd July 2017 at Grace Schools Gbagada.ATP volunteers, moderators and professionals turned it up in grand style to celebrate all the wonderful things ATP has achieved in just 2 years!

ATP had her rst Anniversary Online Consultant with the team on the 18th and 19th of July 2017. Over 8 speakers drawn from various elds addressed different topics on the main theme. e keynote address was given by Dr Gbemisola Boyede, Consultant Paediatrician and Founder of the Ask e Paediatricians Foundation.

sk the Paediatricians Foundation organized Children's Day Celebration and Community Medical Outreach to Ijegun Community on the 27th May 2017 at Ijegun Community Hall, Ijegun. More than 400 children and over 100 women were present. ere was free medical, dental and Paediatric consultations,

mass deworming and nutritional status assessments of all children, free healthy lunches, distribution of clothes, books and shoes for the children. Peak456 adds color by providing gi s and smoothies for the participants. It was a day to be remembered by the Community for a long time!
