August 2017 was the 2nd highest month on record for tender value, driven by a £20Bn tender from Genesis Housing Association - the largest house-building related tender in 2017. Over the last 12 months, 5 out of 12 regions issued 33% or more of their award and framework value directly to SMEs ahead of the UK government’s direct and indirect SME spend target for 2020.
