Approved Vendor List We ask that each new recruit contact a member of the Authenticity Committee before making any major purchases. While the individuals and businesses enumerated below are known to be quality purveyors of reenacting goods and gear, our organization cannot guaranty the results you may achieve. We must strongly advise that you not settle for cheaper, second-rate goods. Your gear will inevitably be exposed to the hard rigors and strains of 19th century military duties. As such, buying quality gear first, however more expensive it is initially, will eventually save you money over time, as subpar equipment is short-lived and prone to accidents and failures. Not to mention that most quality gear is made in the United States by American hands, whereas cheap equipment is typically made overseas from cheap and flimsy materials. Keep this in mind while you spend a few extra dollars, knowing that you’re supporting small business while purchasing some of the few items left still made by the hard-working American.
