Avaya Learning Center - Credential Management Transition Revised 09 July 2013 In early May 2013 Avaya Learning announced access to a new Credential Management System in conjunction with the transition to the new Avaya Learning Center. The new Credential Management System (CMS) will become available Thursday 1 August 2013 8am EDT (US). Avaya Credential records and related test records (Online Tests and Certification Exams) will be managed in CMS. A link will be available on the Credential Management page in the Avaya Learning Center. Credential candidates will be able to access their credential transcripts, download certificates/logos as well as publish credential verification reports for viewing by authorized 3rd parties. User materials associated with this new tool will become available late July. In support of this transition, Avaya credential management functionality will be offline Friday 12 July 2013 to Thursday 1 August 2013. During this period of transition please note the following: 1) All credential Online Test and Certification Exam results completed 12 July thru 31 July will be held for processing in CMS until 1 August 2013. Please note: i) The Avaya Learning Center will be offline 8pm EDT (US) Friday 19 July 2013 thru 8am EDT Thursday 1 August 2013. As a result, students will not be able to access Online Tests (APSS, APDS, AIPS, ASPS) during this timeframe. ii) Student access to ACIS and ACSS Exams delivered thru Pearson VUE is not impacted. 2) The last credential update to Avaya’s Partner Relationship Management tool (PRM) from the retiring version of the Avaya Learning Center will take place Saturday 13 July 2013. CMS to PRM updates are targeted to begin Friday 2 August 2013. To minimize disruption to Avaya Channel Partners’ ability to sell and maintain Avaya Products based upon meeting the Avaya Solution Authorization Policy credential requirements managed in PRM, the following actions are being taken:

Existing Credential Records 1) To prevent a loss of authorization due to individual credential records expiring, the expiration dates for all existing credentials expiring thru 30 September 2013 will be extended two months from their current expiration date. 2) All Credential holders receiving the two month extension will be notified by email of the changes. 3) Expiration date extensions will be applied to student credential transcripts the weekend of 12 July 2013 for visibility in PRM the week of 15 July 2013. Solution Authorizations in PRM For the remainder of FY13 Partner solution authorization status’ in PRM will be unaffected by individual credentials expiring as a result of the extension noted above. Student credentials completed during the transition period will be processed and passed from CMS to PRM beginning 2 August 2013. At that time any new solution authorizations will be processed and reflected in partners’ PRM profiles. Please note the associated credential records will not appear in PRM until after 2 August 2013. This is a major transition from the current Avaya Learning Center infrastructure. The updates are fairly extensive and require significant effort from the Avaya Learning team.
