Frequently Asked Questions General Overview and Partner Program Transition • Extreme acquired Avaya's full Networking portfolio Members of the Avaya Edge Partner Program who are active in selling and integrating our networking solutions will be contacted by Extreme over the coming weeks with instructions on how to become members of the Extreme Partner Network. • Configuration and quoting will continue to take place in Avaya systems as it does today. All networking quotes must now be separate from Avaya UC/CC quotes. • For the October through December 2017, Extreme Networks has introduced a Value Incentive Rebate program for qualifying partners who are transitioning to the Extreme Partner Network. Further details can be found at http://www.extremenetworks.com/Avayapartners/. • Avaya partners had access to MDF through regular Avaya process between July and September. After September, Avaya partners transitioning to Extreme should contact their Extreme Partner Account Manager to evaluate how Extreme Networks can support their sales enablement investments and demand generation activity. • Partner Deal Registrations will follow standard Avaya approval process • Avaya partners that want to sell Extreme products need sign up as an Extreme reseller via standard onboarding process. Fast Track options into a higher level based on current Avaya level will be available upon request.

Avaya Partner Sales Acceleration As we welcome you to Extreme we have three broad objectives • Step One: Firstly, give you a truly great Purple Welcome, and help you navigate the Extreme Partner Program. • Step Two: Next, help you secure your first Extreme customer win. • Step Three: Support your existing Avaya customers. We’re focused on Extreme Wireless because it’s an adjacent or new opportunity for many. This will be the quickest way to a first customer win, expanding your customer base and crucially providing a reference case to build on. You may already be selling an alternative wireless vendor so we’ll do everything we can to show why Extreme is a winner. Wireless is just the starting point and we will open up opportunities to our wider portfolio as we move forward together. Your main point of contact will your Extreme Partners Account Manager. To help them, help you we have created a Global Sales Acceleration Play which includes assets, tools and offers all aimed at meeting these objectives before the end of December 2017. They will share details with you in your first meetings.

FAQs – Partner Programs Which Partner Program will I be part of as of today?

Are there any product restrictions on the Extreme portfolio?

You will be continuing to be part of the Avaya Edge Program until end of September. All Program benefits associated with your Networking sales will transition to Extreme Networks after September 30th upon registering as a Extreme Networks partner. You will continue to use the Avaya One Source tool for all of your networking product and service quoting and ordering transactions until further notice.

No, you can order any product at Extreme without any product restrictions.

What, if I want to sell Extreme products? Do I need to sign up at the Extreme Partner Program? Will my Avaya revenue be considered/help to determine my partner level with Extreme? You can participate at the Extreme Partner program at any time by signing the T&Cs. There is a fast track program in place that will correlates to your current Avaya level. You will be able to participate at Extreme Rebates and Promotions once you are signed up.

How to sign up to the Extreme Partner Network (EPN)? Please register here https://extremeportal.force.com/ ExtrAccountRegistration. • Step 1: Please check the box “I would like to register as a partner” • Step 2: Please check this “My company is a new partner to Extreme and I would like to register my company for the Extreme Partner Program.”

What about the Avaya Product restrictions for Networking? Do I need to renew any certificates to remain sales authorized? No, if you have valid certificates these are “frozen” and will remain valid until they are renewed in the Extreme Learning environment, means they will not expire between today and 9/30/2017.

If I am a current Avaya Partner and want to sell networking products, will I be able to take the required associated trainings? Yes, you can have access to these trainings to sell networking products.

FAQs – Avaya Learning As an Avaya Partner, will I continue to have access to the Avaya Education Portal to complete my subscription?

Where can I find Extreme Networks Sales, Pre-Sales and Post-Sales technical training classes?

Yes, Avaya Partners will continue to the Avaya Education Training Portal until all training materials is ported over to the Extreme Networks Learning Portal.

All eLearning Sales and Pre-Sales training are provided for free on the Extreme Networks Learning Portal https://extremenetworks.netexam.com/catalog.html.

Will my Certifications still be valid moving forward with Extreme Networks?

There is a cost associated with Post-Sales Technical Training Certification eLearning courses, these courses are priced at $900 US per class.

Yes, your post-sales technical training certifications will be transferred to equivalent Extreme Training Certifications on Oct 1.

Do you expect any price changes in the near future? Yes, the prices of the exams and courses will be changing once we have fully integrated the Avaya Education program.

Instructor Led Classes, either Live or Virtual can be found on the Extreme Networks Learning Portal. For a complete list of training courses available, please visit our Education webpage at: http://www.extremenetworks.com/education/ courses/. Typical classes range from 3 days to 5 days. Note You will have to create a Partner Account in-order to enroll into courses.

Will the discount on training change in the near future?

What are the existing Certification Program available from Extreme Networks?

Yes, once the new Partner Program is launched the partner training discounts will change.

Extreme Networks offers a modular approach to technical certification training focused on practical, hands-on learning that's relevant to supporting and optimizing your environment. Starting at Extreme Certified Network Associated (ENCA) to the Extreme Networks Architect, our highest level of Extreme Networks technical certification. Can I register for an Avaya Instructor Led Class? How can I pay for this? Yes, you will be able to register on the Avaya web site and pay by credit Card or P.O.

What If my customer wants to schedule a private Onsite Class? You should contact the Extreme Education Department for any future training engagements, [email protected].

FAQs – Service and Support Will Extreme honor existing Avaya Support agreements? Extreme will honor existing Avaya support agreements for the remaining contract term. If a contract renews during the support agreement time (before June 2018), the contract will be renewed as an Avaya Support agreement.

How do I reach Support for Avaya Products?

Can I purchase Extreme Services? Yes, you can purchase ExtremeWorks Services for Extreme Products from any of Extreme’s Authorized Distributors. You must use Extreme’s Service part numbers when ordering. To learn about Extreme Services, scroll over the Services Tab on www.extremenetworks.com.

You can continue to use the same methods for reaching Support for Avaya products (business as usual).

How do I purchase Support for Avaya Products? You can continue to use the same Sales process, part numbers, and pricing as well as receive the same discounts as you did prior to the acquisition. We will communicate to you in advance of any changes through emails and webinars.
