Race 2 - 6:30pm. THE BEST FLAT RACES LIVE ON RACING UK FILLIES' HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5)

Permission was given for EVIES WISH (IRE) to be mounted on the track, and for MELANIEMILLIE to go to post early. NUNS WALK lost its right hind shoe on the way to post. As the trainer had stated at declarations that the filly should not be withdrawn should she lose a shoe, and after the farrier being unable to re-fit it, NUNS WALK ran without her right hind shoe. Following the race, Joe Fanning reported that NUNS WALK, placed second, missed the break. Race 3 - 7:00pm. THE RACING UK'S BIGGEST EVER FLAT SEASON HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)

Permission was given for CORTON LASS to go to post early. An enquiry was held to consider why Rebecca Bastiman was running BERLIOS (IRE) and BE BOLD, here at Ayr on ground described as Good to Firm, having declared both the gelding’s non-runners at Ayr on 23 May 2018, on ground with the same official description. The trainer’s representative stated Miss Bastiman felt that in her opinion the ground at Ayr on 23 May was quicker than the official description, but was happy for both geldings to take their chance today having discussed the ground with a senior rider after race 1. The winner MR SHELBY (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run

at Navan on 2 June 2018, where the gelding finished seventh of eighteen beaten 6¼ lengths. Shane Donohoe’s explanation was noted that the gelding appreciated the step up in trip to 6 furlongs, following the fast run 5 furlong race at Navan. MR SHELBY (IRE) was routine tested. Following the race, Callum Rodriguez reported that BUILDING YEAR (IRE), placed eighth, became upset in the stalls and was slowly away. Race 4 - 7:30pm. Following the race, Jamie Gormley reported that PECHEURS DE PERLES (IRE), unplaced, ran too free. Phillip Makin reported that TIERCEL, unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong. Tom Eaves reported that ALEMARATALYOUM (IRE), placed seventh, was denied a clear run from 2½ furlongs out. It was noted that approximately 1 furlong out, SAINT EQUIANO, placed fourth, shifted left causing KUPA RIVER, unplaced, to be short of room on the rail. However, after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that it did not involve a riding offence. Race 5 - 8:00pm. THE RACING UK HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4)

Permission was given for GOLDEN STEPS (FR) to go to post early. Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ATHOLLBLAIR BOY (IRE), placed fifth, lost its left front shoe.
