is this year’s theme for National School Lunch Week, which will be celebrated October 1317, 2014. This year’s theme underscores the important link between nutrition and physical activity in developing healthy habits for a lifetime. A nutritious school lunch can boost your energy and performance on the field, court, or the playground. For example, proteinrich foods like beans, poultry, and fish can boost muscle power for any and all favorite activities, whether it’s dance, baseball, or bike riding. Wholegrain breads can help you run faster on the basketball court, and low-fat milk and yogurt can build strong bones for lifting heavy objects. Healthy lifestyles help everyone to succeed in the game of life, including academics, relationships, and happiness!

Join our team! Parents, would you like to be home when your children are home? We are looking for loving, caring people to help nourish the children of Warren County Public Schools. We are currently accepting applications for substitute cook/bakers in our cafeterias. Go to the WCPS web site, warrencountyschools.com, and apply online.
