All entries accompanied by the appropriate entry fee must be made to the Tournament Secretary not later than Monday 23rd October 2017. All competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. Scotland, subject to the modification hereinafter mentioned, together with the local rules of the Bairnsdale Golf Club Inc. If any dispute arises on any point, it must be lodged in writing with the Secretary before 6 pm on the day on which the matter has arisen, it shall then be decided by the Match Committee of the Bairnsdale Golf Club Inc. Any appeal shall be made to Golf Victoria provided same is lodged in writing through the Secretary of the Bairnsdale Golf Club Inc. within seven days of such decision. The Golf Victoria decision shall be final. Competitors must state the name of their Club, their handicap and produce proof on request. The Committee has the power to temporarily alter a player’s handicap in accordance with the Australian Course Rating and Handicapping System. In the event of a tie in any of the handicap events, a count back as per the rules of Golf Australia will be made. A tie in any scratch event shall be decided by a play-off as directed by the Tournament Match Committee. The Tournament Committee shall have the right to: (a) Alter or vary the conditions of the programme. It may also, on account of bad weather or any other reason, either shorten any event or fix another day for same; (b) Alter or vary the grade distribution due to size of fields Men’s handicap 36 max ~ Ladies handicap 45 maximum Trophies will be presented after each day’s play No player shall win more than two trophies on any one day. If successful in more than two events, a competitor must make an election as to which events he or she will be awarded. Gross will take precedence over nett and a win will take precedence over a runner-up. One trophy only in the events held on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday (Pairs Competitions). Veterans must be registered with their relevant Veteran Golfer’s Association to be eligible for Event 2. Players must be ready to start at their appointed times or may be liable to disqualification. Mobile phones must be turned off while on the course unless previously approved by the Tournament Committee. NO Metal Spikes are to be worn on the course. See Dress Code.
