Following the race, David Bass reported that AGENT MEMPHIS (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly. The Veterinary Officer reported that OVERWORKDUNDERPAID (IRE), unplaced, lost its right fore shoe. Race 3 - 2:45pm. THE WEATHERBYS STALLION BOOK HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4)

Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that PENNIES AND POUNDS, placed fifth, sustained a slight wound to its left fore. Race 5 - 3:55pm. THE WEATHERBYS GENERAL STUD BOOK HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 5) (DIV II)

Following the race, Lorcan Murtagh reported that COWSLIP, placed fifth, was never travelling. The Veterinary Officer reported that the mare lost its right fore shoe. Mr Theo Gillard reported that ROBERT DE BRUCE (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling. David Bass reported that AM I APPROPRIATE, which was pulled up, was never travelling. The Veterinary Officer reported that a postrace examination of AM I APPROPRIATE failed to reveal any abnormalities other than that the mare lost its right fore shoe. The Veterinary Officer further reported that SUNDANCE BOY, placed fourth, lost its left fore shoe. Race 6 - 4:30pm. THE ALPHA (WREXHAM) WINDOWS 25TH ANNIVERSARY NOVICES' HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4)

Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ALEX THE LION (IRE), unplaced, lost its right fore shoe. Race 8 - 5:35pm. THE FAMILY FUNDAY SATURDAY 19TH MAY STANDARD NATIONAL HUNT FLAT RACE (CLASS 5) (CONDITIONAL JOCKEYS' AND AMATEUR RIDERS' RACE ) (DIV II)

Permission was given for TWOTWOTHREE (IRE) to go early to post. An enquiry was held into why a small section of running rail appeared to not be connected as the runners approached the final furlong marker on the first circuit. The Clerk of the Course and Head Groundsman were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident. Having heard their evidence, the Stewards noted their explanation that the incident had been an oversight and the rail had been reconnected before the runners came around for the second circuit and a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
