Rays of Hope Walk & Run Toward the Cure The 23rd annual Rays of Hope Walk & Run Toward the Cure hosted 18,000 walkers and runners on October 30. Funds raised this year will support research at the Rays of Hope Center for Breast Cancer Research, help purchase state-of-the-art equipment, and provide breast health programs and outreach both at Baystate Health and within the community. Pictured are two participants celebrating along the event’s picturesque route in Springfield’s Forest Park.

Baystate Noble Ball More than 500 guests danced under the disco ball at the 52nd annual Baystate Noble Ball on October 29 – raising vital funds to renovate the hospital’s main entrance and reception area to ensure that the hospital will be fully accessible to everyone. The “Sensational Seventies”-themed event was chaired by Nabil and Julie Hannoush and Mandana and Ali Salehi (pictured, left to right.)

look inside

to learn how you can support babies like Piper

Piper Law is now at home with her family in Pittsfield after being born at 25 weeks and spending her first three months of life in the Davis Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Baystate Children’s Hospital.

“”

“Our first-born daughter, Piper, spent her first 13 weeks of life in the Davis NICU. On top of trying to wrap my head around the fact that Piper was born 15 weeks early, it was tough to be away from home. Having the Angel Eyes camera let my family feel closer to Piper and me, and has helped to make us feel closer to them. We watched “PTV” every night. Being able to see Piper while were away from her made every night happier for all of us.” – Erica Law (Piper’s mom)
