A QUICK LOOK...

 MSU shot more free throws than its opponent in 12 of the last 15 games of 2017-18, led the league in free throws made (330) and attempted (445), but the Cats have shot 30 free throws fewer than its opponents through four games in 2018-19  The Colorado marked the 38th time (out of 68 opportunities) that Tyler Hall and Harald Frey have each scored in double-digits in the same game  Keljin Blevins’ 26-point, 15-rebound outing vs. Presentation was his second career double-double, matched his career scoring high, and set a personal rebound standard  Utah State’s 101 points was the most against the Cats in a season opener since UCLA’s 113 in 2014-15  Montana State’s 45-point loss at Indiana was its largest margin of defeat since falling 86-28 at Kentucky in 2014-15

ON THE OFFENSE...

 MSU’s 11.5% from three-point range at Indiana was lower than any 2017-18 game except Central Michigan (6.3%), and the Cats shoot just 26.0% from the arc so far in 2018-19  Montana State shot 37.2% from the arc at home last season, and is 16-47 (37.0%) after two games this season  The Bobcats shot 25.5% at Indiana, the team’s lowest shooting percentage since opening the 2006-07 season with the by shooting 25.5% in a loss at Utah Valley

Montana State’s road show continues Saturday, when the Bobcats meet UC Santa Barbara in a matinee. Tipoff is 3 pm MT at the Thunderdome. ON THE DEFENSE... The Gauchos enter Saturday’s game 2-1, with a road win at Wyoming.  The Cats blocked four Presentation shots, Devearl Ramsey leads a balanced attack with 11.3 points, shooting 52.6% and Tyler Hall leads the team averaging 1.0 from the floor. JaQuori McLaughlin averages 10.7. Tyler Hall’s 30 points per game led all players in MSU’s loss at CSU Wednesday.
