Judith Albrecht had melanoma removed on 4/5. Revs. Barry and Terry Allen’s aunt Annette had part of her nose removed due to cancer. It will later be replaced by a prosthesis. Phylis Andres has a very painful case of shingles. Sophia Carroll’s sister Sheila had a biopsy to test for lung cancer. Maurice Graves is in rehab after a laminectomy (back surgery). Jerry Lawrence, father of Al and father-in-law of Cheryl, had a heart attack on 3/30. Two arteries are 100% blocked. Glenn Masters has bronchitis and shingles. David Richards’ co-worker will have surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor. John Simon will have knee replacement surgery on 5/22. He is also struggling with carpal tunnel and neuropathy in his right hand and Dupuytren's disease (Viking disease) in his left hand. - MINISTRIES -

Pick up a Ministries brochure from the information racks to learn more about each of the following ministries: Kids | Parents, check in your Pre-K–6th grade children outside of Room 201 at 9:00am on Sundays for Excursion Hour followed by King’s Island Kids’ Church for Pre-K–5th grade at 10:00am. (Sixth graders attend main service.) On Wednesdays at 7:00pm, check in PreK–5th grade kids outside of Room 213. Wednesdays nights include rehearsal for this year’s K-6 spring concert, Happily Forever After, featured in service on Sunday, May 21! (Pre-K will participate in one special song!) Nurseries are available each Sunday and Wednesday for kids ages birth-4 during classes/services. Parents and grandparents of kids ages 1-4, Storytime at Bethesda will not meet until further notice. Students | TheWay meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00am (grades 7 & 8 in Room 215 and high school on the Mezzanine) and Wednesday nights at 7:00pm (grades 7-12) in Room 230, with TheWay Café open at 6:30! Our next “Family Dinner” night is April 19. Save the date for camp: July 31-August 4! Young Adults | Route33 young adults ages 18-30 gather together each Wednesday at 7:00pm for worship in the Dining Room and then move to the Welcome Center for a message and small group discussion. Singles | Singles ages 30 and up, join our OneWay Connection Class at 9:00am on Sunday mornings in Room 111 for provoking biblical discussion on how to live as a Christian single in the world today. Men | "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another" (Prov. 27:17 ESV). Iron Sharpens Iron men’s group meets the third Thursday of each month. Men, we are looking forward to seeing you on April 20 at 7:00pm on the Family Center Mezzanine as we sharpen one another by the standard of God's Word. Women | Women of all ages, join us at Women at the Well on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00pm in the Dining Room for worship, the Word, testimony, and discussion.

A new session of GriefShare is coming up April 19-July 26 on Wednesdays at 7:00pm in Room 106, and you are welcome to join at any time. Tuesday Morning Prayer Meets Tuesdays at 10:30am in the Chapel to pray for our congregation’s needs and for our leaders. Pre-Service Prayer Meets Sundays at 9:00am in the Chapel to pray for all aspects of the Sunday morning service.

On Friday, April 14, 1:00-3:00pm, PreK–6th graders will meet for The Great Crate Escape, our special Good Friday for Kids service and Easter egg scramble. - CITYWIDE CLEANUP -

We are excited to offer this opportunity to participate in Sterling Heights’ Spring Community Pride and SHINE (Sterling Heights Initiative for Neighborhood Excellence) Day on Saturday, May 6 for 3-4 hours starting at 9:30am. This cleanup helps those who cannot maintain their properties due to age, disability, or finances. We are first looking for a motivated volunteer willing to be Bethesda's point person. For more information, contact Rev. Barry Allen.

- BETHESDA "BREAK FAST" -

On Wednesday, April 12, we encourage you to join us for a day of fasting and prayer. Then at 7:00pm, join us in the Dining Room for our "Bethesda United" prayer service. To close the night, we will "break fast" and share a breakfast meal. This service is for 7th grade and up. Nurseries, Kids' Ministry, GriefShare, and Catechism will run as usual. (Kids’ Ministry will join us for breakfast.)
