For our client based in Toulouse, France, we are looking for a

Bid Manager

Objective Manage and plan the production of bids and quotations in response to expressions of Interest (EOIs), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Invitations to Tender (ITTs) from potential customers, on behalf of Business Development Managers. This role requires extensive interaction with technical consultants, and developing strong working relationships with the Business Development Managers, and the Resource, Commercial, Marketing and Quality functions within the Company.

Responsibilities / Duties Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will involve working on a number of bids simultaneously, ranging in size and complexity from small to major multi-volume proposals, ranging from a few thousand Euros to multi-million Euros in value. For each, the candidate is expected to take responsibility for the overall production of the bid, and, according to the type of proposal, perform some or all of the following duties: - Organize and co-ordinate members of the bid team - Produce plans for the efficient and successful management of bids - Arrange bid team meetings, taking and circulating notes and actions - Review tender documents and form an understanding of the requirement - Produce draft/skeleton bid documents in accordance with the Company standards - Carry out research, internally and externally as required, to support bid production - Ensure deadlines are met for bid submissions. - Perform editorial reviews of bids - Manage the dispatch of bids to schedule - Ensure all files and records are maintained to Company standards. - Reporting on Bid performance. - Write a significant proportion of the bids - usually the Management, Company Experience, Personnel sections, including the preparation of the WBS, Schedule, WPD's, deliverable item lists. Also supporting documentation such as Draft Project Plans, Configurations Management Plans etc. - Ensure Contractual review/process is followed and appropriate response is inserted in the proposal - Manage the costing/pricing process, ensuring internal procedures are followed and be able to produce the authorized figures in the Customer required format - Produce artwork for completed bid in line with company standards - Assist the BDM's to follow ITT's before release and to plan strategy where appropriate In addition, the successful candidate will be required to: - Develop and maintain communication channels with other teams in the business, at all levels, in order to successfully achieve the above - Be responsible for the quality of work and conducting activities in accordance with the Company quality procedures - Have a flexible attitude to support the activities and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications / Experience Educated to engineering degree level or equivalent. Relevant experience and willingness to learn are considered to be equally important - Experience of a co-ordination role within an office environment - Experience of reviewing, writing, editing and producing documents - Experience of writing, editing and producing sales and marketing material would be desirable, but not essential. - Experience of bidding into the CNES would be a great asset. - Relevant technical or managerial background experience in the space industry would also be a great advantage. Fluency in French and English Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Competent in reviewing and interpreting complex documents Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to co-ordinate and organise members of small multi-disciplinary teams Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload Meticulous attention to detail Creative approach to problem solving

Further Details Mobility will be required for occasional work at other offices and client sites (the role is predominantly office based). Benefits Salary depends on experience.
